She just gave him a tiny smile, not really believing it but not arguing. She couldn't belive it. Not when she'd watched people die from this. There was no cure. No hope of getting better. She was starting to drift off into unconsciousness once more.Josh glanced in that direction, letting out a breath when he saw Finn. Brave saw him too and rushed to him barking happily, Josh running after. That meant Charlotte had gotten caught...
Nick watched her drifted into sleep with a sad look. He stood up when he saw Luke and ask him a silent question. Luke shrugged, not knowing the answer. He when by Taylor side and grib her shoulder. "Sleep tight." He whispersFinn gave crashing in front of Josh, his eyes were open and he was smiling. "We got it." He breathed, trying to catch his breath. He pulled his backpack off and open it to show Josh the container. "We have the cure.."
Josh let out a breath when he heard Finn's words. Th cure. They could save so many lives now. "We need to get this back to base." then he had to go out and find Charlotte. Or find out what happened from Finn then go after her. He just knew he couldn't leave her in government hands. Taylor's shoulders shook as she started to cough in her sleep. You could tell that she'd ben getting worse quickly the past couple of days.
Finn wanted rest but he nodded. "Josh.... Charlotte gave me this..." He slowly said before holding out a piece of paper. He wouldn't meet his eye."Get some rest Nick." Luke say pushing Taylor's dad out of the room. Luke sat by Taylor and gripped her hand.
Josh glanced at the folded piece of paper for a moment, swallowing nervously. He shoved it in his pocket. Yes he wanted to read it but that would have to wait. They had to get the cure to the base first. "Taylor's sick." Josh told him.
Finn paled a little nodding. "We better move fast then. Lets move." He said starting forwards. As they walked Finn asked. "Do you have any water?"
"Yeah of course." Josh said, sliding off his pack and handing a bottle of water to Finn. "What happened out there? Is Charlotte....is she okay do you think?"
Finn quickly drank the water. "I don't know.... She left me to get these people off our trail." Suddenly Finn couldn't go on. "I told her not to go but..."
"It's not your fault. Charlotte is stubborn. Once she has her mind set nothing can change it."
"But if she was caught...." Finn whispers
'If she was caught I'll go back out later and fin her. With out without Nick's permission. Not even supposed to be out here now."
Finn shook his head. "I hate to say it Josh but you are insane. Thanks for finding me but you still insane. She just one person." He pointed out. Finn wanted to save Charlotte just as much as Josh but they need to think this through.
He just shrugged in reply, helping Finn back towards the base.Taylor was waking up a bit again, the fever getting worse.
Finn didn't push the topic anymore not wanting to upset Josh and he didn't want to think about Charlottes fate right now. Luke was at her side. "Josh is gone to get Finn and Charlotte.... and the cure" He whispers to her brushing some of her hair back from her face
It took a little while but they eventually got there. Josh had been gone for four days. He really hoped no one had died while he was gone. Brave ran through the halls barking to announce their arrival. She looked at him but didn't speak, too weak. She started coughing again, covering her mouth. A bit of blood was on her hand when she pulled it away.
Luke look up when he heard Brave barking. "Finn, Charlotte!" He said bursting of of the sick room. Finn had started to run when he heard his name. "I got the sure!" Luke frown when he didn't see Charlotte then saw Josh and that was all the answer he need to know. "Thank you." He whispers as Finn handed him a tube of blue liquid. He ran back to Taylor side. "Okay it look like you can give this in the form as a shoot." He mumbles to Taylor pulling her sleeve up and wiping it down before giving her a shot of the blue liquid
"How long do you think it will take to work?" Josh asked quietly as he went over to where his friend was. He hoped the cure worked. so many people were counting on it. People up above were sick and dying from it too in the lower areas of town. This could help them too.
"I dont know.... Maybe an hour?" He told him with a sigh. He ran a hand through his hair wishing against the odds that this is the end of this disease. "You going back out?" Luke ask Josh not glancing at his best friend, a little worried about what his answer was going to be.
Josh hesitated briefly before nodding. " I have to. I have to find her....ill probably be sneaking out again. I'm guessing Nick wasn't too happy that I left against orders this time."
Luke looked over at Taylor. "No he was not but he going to forgive you." Luke took a deep breath running a hand through his hair. "To be honest I do not want you to go out again." Luke held up an hand before Josh could interrupt him. "But I know why you are doing this. If it was Taylor out there nothing could hold me back. Just promise me when you find Charlotte you will tell her the way you feel about her." Luke look at Josh with a hard tired look. "There nothing worst then to watch the girl you love dying and there nothing you can about it. It is a horrible feeling of powerless. Being a doctor is hard Josh." Luke let his shield drop for a second and his shoulder sagged a bit. "But I must warn you Charlotte may be changed if you find her in the government's hands...... She could be hurt in ways you may never know..... So when you head out again just be careful. That all I am asking."
Josh nodded. He knew that. They hadn't had her for long but who knew what they would do even in a short amount of time. "I'll tell her." He'd been meaning to for awhile now but had just never been able to bring himself to do it. He glanced at Taylor then. "I hope the medicine works. I'm going to go get some rest before heading out, let you get to work with the others. Good luck."
Luke tried to smile with a thumbs up. "Thanks, I will try my hardest." He lean against the wall. "Alice and Me should be able to save some lives." He nodded to the door. "Get a lot of rest. Doctor Orders."
Josh gave a tiny smile at that, giving his friend a nod as he slipped out, debating whether he should go see Nick now that he was back.
Nick was rushing down the hallway when he saw Josh. At first he decided he should be mad but his daughter now had a chance to live so instead Nick gave him a nod.
Josh was still standing right outside of the infirmary and gave Nick a nod. "Sir...."
"Good job." Nick whispers before standing straighter and walking past him. He stopped but didn't turn around. "Thank you Josh you may of just save my daughter life."
Josh gave a nod but didn't say anything, he figured now wasn't the best time to mention he was going to leave again after he rested up.
"I heard about Charlotte through Finn." Nick took a deep breath before saying. "You have my blessing to go after her. Take what you need." He walked away before Josh could reply
Josh was shocked that Nick was okay with him going, maybe it was just that he knew that he'd leave either way again. "Thank you sir." He said, but Nick was already gone.
Nick walked into the med room and Luke looked up. "Your daughter should be waking up soon if the cure worked Sir." He spoke softly not to wake up Alice who was sleeping
Taylor was still asleep on her cot and while her breathing was still a bit ragged it was a bit better than it had been before.
Nick when over to Taylor's side. "Be strong my daughter." He whispers
She muttered something under her breath but wasn't waking up yet .
((Sorry!))Luke when to Taylor other side. "She seems to be getting better just give her some time. We still don't know how long the cure will take and if it will even work."

((Sure))A couple hours later Luke was locked away in his lab breaking down and trying to recreate the cure. Alice had her red hair tied up a bun and was making her rounds. She had just woke up to find Luke note about where he was.
Taylor was starting to wake up again, her breathing still a bit hard but better than it had been. She let out a small moan, her head hurting, a side effect of the medicine.
Alice heard a small sound and turn around to see Taylor waking up. "Taylor!" She yells as she rushed to her side.
Taylor gave her a smile, one of her biggist ones in days. "Hey Alice." She greeted, pushing herself into a sitting position.
"Are you feeling better?" Alice ask as she check her vitals looking for any signs that this wasn't just the calm before the storm. Taylor look better than she had in days and Alice hoped this wasn't just a faze. She wasn't sure Luke could take it if Taylor got worst again.
Taylor nodded, leaning back but stayed sitting. "My head hurts, I'm a bit dizzy, but otherwise I'm feeling alright." She felt better than she had before, that was for sure.
"Well your vitals are good that is a great sign. I will see how you feel in a day and if you are fine then we can start giving out the cure." She said
Taylor smiled at that, just hoping that no one else died before that. Her fever was breaking and she was much more with it than she had been the previous days.
"Logan and your dad will be so happy to see you up and wake. You gave them quite a scare. Logan haven't slept much in days. Oh you will have to thank Finn for bringing the Cure in when you see him." Alice said in a rush taking some blood from Taylor and checking a couple of other things
((Luke not Logan ;)))Taylor watched Alice as she ran the tests, she coughed a bit, but again it wasn't quite as bad as it had been. She wanted to ask to see her dad. But she knew he was probably busy. Luke too. Once she was better she'd go talk to them.

((OOps! Gosh I can not wait for the day when I wont mix names up. and I will try! July is going to be a busy month for me but I will try!))Alice pause in her work wondering if she wouldn't mention Charlotte or Josh.... Alice looked around and spoke in a low whisper. "Charlotte missing..."
"What? Since when? What about Finn? What about Josh?" She pushed herself into a sitting position
Alice gently pushed her back. "Weeks now... Her and Finn when out to find the cure. Josh when after them but only came back with Finn. He going to head out again to find Charlotte." She told her explain everything what happen to them since she got sick.
He got to the top of the hill and everything stopped when he saw Brave and Josh. Hoped suddenly flooded him, the cure would make it. "Josh!" He yelled scrambling down the hill to get to him
