Luke talked with Mr. Brown making sure he stay awake. "The aspirin should help break the fever." He told him with a brave smile. "You are hanging in there just fine." He added.

"What else can we do?" Taylor asked, looking over at Luke. Hopefully the new girl would be here soon and could help them.
Luke was about to say something with a tall girl with red hair came sweeping in. Luke blinked twice, the girl was very pretty. "Well first off you can help the poor man by not being so close to him." She came walking up pushing both Luke and Taylor out of the way. She checked over the man. "He is going to go into shock, but don't worry You have me now." The girl flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Alice Goodman at your service." She turn back to Mr. Brown without waiting for Luke or Taylor to say anything back.
While Taylor was glad that she was here to help her first thought was of how rude this girl was. She felt the need to say something. "Luke has helped a lot of people here. He knows what he's doing. He's saved a lot of lives." and while they hadn't been able to cure anyone of this at least only one person had died...
Luke shot her a look that told her it was fine, he thought she was rude also but they did not have the time for this. "Then help." He replies to Alice who was about to stay something back to Taylor.
Taylor shot a look at Alice but didn't say anything to her, moving on to check the next person down the line. Calm down Taylor. she told herself. This girl can help save these people...
Luke also when to check on other people while Alice helped Mr.Brown. Luke caught up with Taylor. "Calm down, so she may be a bit rude maybe we just have get to know her."
"I know....I know...I ust don't like the way she barged in and took over."
"We need help beside everyone knows we are the prefect team. She will just have to be our sidekick." Luke said nudging her shoulder
She gave a small smile, feeling a bit better. "And if she can figure out a way to help people with tis...."
He nodded. "She has to have something up her sleeve."
"I just don't want anyone else to die..."
He gave her what he hope was a cheerful smile. "Me either, we will beat this. Charlotte and Finn will bring something back."
((Want to skip a week or so? A couple more people have died and Taylor starts to show the symptoms?))
About a week and a half had passed and so far two more people had died. And still no word from charlotte and Finn. She hoped they got back soon....The was carrying a try across the room to dilevir some water to the people over there. She was coughing slightly but thought nothing of it.
Luke was getting restless at haveing not news abotu Charlotte or Finn. He didnt like having them out in the field so long. He did start to like Alice thought, sure her personaily was huge but he did like her. She been working hard with them
She smiled at the people she helped, trying to make them as comfortable as she could. is it hot in here? she thought to herself as she was walking around, taking temperatures, giving water. he had a bit of a headache too but was trying to ignore it.
Luke looked up as Alice came in and started to help Taylor with taking temperatures. He was busy writing down records of all the patients
At least no one seemed worse today. That had to be an improvement right? She raised an arm to her head to wipe off the perspiration. Maybe she needed some air. She'd help a little longer first though.
"Hey Taylor, you okay?" Alice ask looking tired. "You are pale." She said turning to look at Mr. Brown.
"Yeah...I'm fine. Just tired I guess." she replied, shaking her head. "Haven't slept that great lately. worried about everyone here."
"If you need to rest, I got this." Alice said
She shook her head. "I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. Besides, I want to help." she gave a small smile.
Alice nodded after a moment. "Fine but if you feel faint you go sit down."
"I will. Don't worry." She said, smiling once more as she moved off to help other patients.
Alice watched her for a few more second before moving off to meet Luke. "Any news for Charlotte and Finn?" She ask. Luke shoved a hand through his hair. "Nothing and everyone is slowly losing hope.... Just dont tell Josh we haven't heard anything about them yet..."
Josh walked into the infirmary at that moment. He had been getting better. He could now walk on his leg although he still limped slightly. He was ready to go back out as soon as he got a chance. later he was going to go check to see if there was any word from Charlotte and Finn. Brave was beside him as he came in the room.
Alice smiled at Josh and then waved to Brave before hurrying off to go to check on some people. Luke glance at Josh and tried to smile but something told him it fail. He turn back to his journal
((How should they find out Taylor is sick?))
Taylor started to feel a bit dizzy as she walked across the room, her head pounding. She was about to take a seat when she crashed to the floor.
"Taylor!" Luke cries and jumps up running over to her. "Alice get a cot!" He yelled. Panic over load his mind and he couldn't think straight. What happened!? "Taylor wake up!" He said picking her up and running over to the cot. Alice saw that Luke couldn't think straight and pushed him out of the room. "Josh stay with him!" She command before turning back to Taylor.
Josh was worried, trying local Luke down. " I'm sure she'll be fine. She's probably just overexhausted or something."Taylor was groaning. starving ti wake back up. "What happened?'
"Josh you would act just the same as me if that was Charlotte!" Luke snapped wanting to get back inside. He knew he cross a line mention Charlotte since they haven't heard anything from her. He lean against the wall shoving a hand through his hair. "I sorry....""Taylor you have a fever..... a rash........ and you fainted...... Taylor I think you may have the disease." Alice said with a flinch
Josh winced slightly when he brought up Charlotte, but just shook his head when Luke apologized. "Don't be. You're right I would be. We both just need to hope for the best. Just give Alice a few minutes then we can go check on her okay?"Taylor paled more than she already was, shaking her head slightly. No.....It was easy to tell that though scared her.
He nodded as he sighed, he glance at Josh wondering how he stay so hopeful and calm. Luke just want to yell at someone or something. "You are right.... it just so hard...""I don't know for sure but Taylor you have the signs. I just need some blood to test for it. " Alice said feeling her eyes start to water. She push past the tears with a deep breath
"I know....You just have to have faith. Worrying won't help anything."Taylor just nodded, slightly, holding out her arm. She was too shocked, too scared to say anything. She didn't want to die...
He nodded, taking a deep breath. "We haven't heard anything from Finn or Charlotte." He said in a rush, he couldn't hold it back any more. She took the blood and got to work. "It will okay."
He looked down. "I know....I asked Taylor's dad about it the other day because I was getting worried. I'm sure they're okay. They'll probably be back any day now..."Taylor just nodded, biting her lip. She was scared. Not sure what to think. They'd lost so many to this already.....So many still had it. No one had gotten better yet. What was going to happen to her.
Luke envied the way he could be so hopeful, he had little faith. He was a man of science. "You right.." He said after a long moment."Don't worry." Alice whispers more for herself then for Taylor. Suddenly there was ding as the blood results came back. Alice glance at Taylor scared.
"Think you're okay now to go in there and see if she's okay?"Taylor watched her, looking away when she saw Alice's expression. "I have it don't I...."
"No Josh, I scared that if I go in there the worst news will appear...." He whispers but took a deep breath he had to go in. He push himself off the wall and walked inAlice looked at the test results. She coved up her mouth before she let out a scream. She had it..... Oh no......
Josh followed him in worried about the news as well. Charlotte wherever you are please be okay. Please find the antidote and bring it here.....Taylor didn't have to hear her say it. the silence was enough. No.... she didn't want to die.....
Luke came in and Alice turn to him tears were running down her face. Luke tripped already knowing what the news was, time to slow down as he found Taylor laying down. He wanted to run over to her but the shock froze him
Josh caught his friend as he tripped, he paled slightly too. Worried about all his friends now. Luke included. That was it. He would go talk to Taylor's dad later. See if he could go out and try to find Charlotte, help get the cure. If he said no he;d go anyway.
"Taylor?" Luke choked out grabbing Josh's arm. He stared at her begging her to tell him this was all just a dream. "Taylor....." He whispers((Hey when shure Finn make it back with the cure?))
((I think not for a little bit. Maybe a couple more people die and Taylor get's worse before it happens?))She glanced in his irection trying to give him a smile but it was small. She was terrified. she wanted to say something but didn't know what.
