" DO I look like I care." Julian's attitude was coming out, it rarely ever did but know that someone was questioning him about Bryce, it was gonna get ugly.( Say something Bryce :P)

"No, you don't." Arthur agreed, his tone still dark. "And yet you should. When is his birthday?" He pointed to Bryce, who shrunk nearly an inch. He had never told Julian his birthday...
Bryce shifted his weight to the other foot and swallowed. He hadn't told Julian his birthday... "I don"t think that's relevant, sir -"
Arthur quietened him with a look. "When is his birthday Julian?"
Julian gave him a cold hard hard look back. " It's in October... He never said the exact date."

Bryce wasn't completely surprised he knew his birthday. He probably knew a lot about him. He had known where he lived.
Maybe it was his new taste of freedom that caused it, or even the lack of, but Bryce simply swelled with anger. The dogtags beneath his shirt rattled loudly and he glared at Arthur. "Why don't you date me then, since you're so qualified." He hissed, feling absolutely violated that he finally had something and now he was being taken away as well.
Julian's eyes widened, he had never seen Bryce so upset, and it was kinda a turn on... but scary too.

For the first time in his young life, Bryce spoke before the man had a chance to continue. "You have no clue about me sir," even though he said sir, it didn't lessen the venom in his voice. If anything, it made it worse. "You don't know what I have had in my life. Nothing has ever made me as happy or loved as Julian. So, please sir, don't lecture me like a brick in the wall before you actually know who I am."
Julian couldn't help but smile at Bryce as he held him closer. " God I love you." He whispered into Bryce's ear. Screw what Arthur thought.

Arthur let out a small sigh and, as before, pinched the bridge of his nose in an attempt to think clearly. No, he didn't know Bryce... The fact had haunted him for years. "Julian,"
Julian's eyes flickered back to Arthur, his tone was slightly less cold the before but defiantly some edge to it. " Yes Arthur?"

Julian nodded and was about to follow but not before giving Bryce one last kiss then leaving.

Arthur brought them out onto the chilly patio, somehow seemed not to mind the bite. Beside him the hot tub steamed in the little sliver of light given off from the crack in the curtains behind the glass doors, not even having time to cool off yet. The hotel was in a quiet part of the city, but streetlamps and vehicles were as loud as ever. A constant in the disruption of the unchanging which was silence. "Why Bryce?" He asked, his voice souning oddly loud despite the clamour below.
Julian was unmoved by the question and answered honestly. " Why Bryce?... Why anything why would do something for anyone... I was lost for a while ok Artur, nobody really took the time of their day to get to know the real me, much less flirt with me... He's the most handsome guy i've ever meet and a heart as big as moon... he's perfect." He muttered almost to himslef.( Have Arthur ask Bryce why Julian cause im curious to see what you come up with :P)

" I'd rather beat myself and throw myself in the shadow dimension before I make that sweet innocent solider cry." He said almost instantly.

Bryce laid half on the bed, the other half of him propped up by his feet on the floor. He sighed deeply, trying to imagine their conversation going well...
Julian was confused to be honestly, sure Arthur was caring, dont get him wrong but... never before has he shown so much care in one meta human, so why Bryce? Giving Arthur one last nod he left the patio to be Bryce.

"Bryce." Arthur stuck his head in. "Come on."
Bryce hesitated, then gave Julian's hand a brief squeeze as he got up to leave. He walked out onto the patio with Arthur, his power warming his clothes automatically to fight the cold. "Yes sir?"

( Hmmm do it when you think the time is right)Julian breathed out a sigh as he landed on the bed and scrunched up opposite to where Bryce was laying. He loved him so much, it hurt to be away from him.

"Bryce," Arthur turned to look at the boy, leaning back on the railing slightly. "I want to ask you a question and I expect a serious answer."
Bryce nodded once, his hand clasped behind his back securely. "Yes sir?" Somehow, it made Arthur shudder. Sir... What kind of life had he lived?
"Why Julian? Why all of a sudden?"
His blonde hair was almost brown in the darkness, except for a streak on the left side of his head that shone an illuminated yellow from the sliver of light cast from behind them. "Forgive me sir, but why not Julian?" The anger was gone from his voice, and now it was hushed and soft. "I have waited a long time to be as special and forgiven as Julian makes me feel. When you've been as lonely as I have for your entire entire life sir, you can't afford the patience or the leisure to take things slow. I loved him from the moment I saw him, and that's not just something you can take away with disapproval, sir." His tone was never raised, never changed from its polite and rather stiff beginning.
Julian took a deep sigh and formed a shadow hand exactly like his to squeeze Bryce's hand then disappear.

One word had stuck out to Arthur. "Why forgiven?" He suddenly asked. "Why does he make you feel forgiven? Forgiven for what?"
"For..." Bryce paused. "For being here, sir."
"For being at Victory Hill?"
"For being alive, sir."
It was like a punch to the gut. Arthur closed his eyes tight and almost willed everything away. That was his biggest fear, that Bryce would end up living in a 'situation'. The guilt was immense... Why did this have to happen? "And, and Julian makes it okay to be alive?"
The boy across from him, half masked in shadow, smiled slightly. That robotic and asthetically perfect smile. "He does, sir. He makes me want to live it again."
The suppens was killing Julian he didnt know what was going on or how Bryce was doing... it was honestly killing him.

Arthur ran a hand over the back of his hair, not unlike how Bryce himself did. He sighed, looking over at the boy with eyes softer than usual. His Bryce... "You're sure about this aren't you?" He finally said.
"With all due respect, sir," Bryce nodded again. "I've never been more certain if anything in my entire life. I know you don't approve, but... I love him."
( Please do... It's kinda like Honey he's a bad boy and I dont want you dating him, but please daddy love him..)Julian couldn't help be tense up as each second went by, so many scenarios unfolding in his mind. Maybe a quick shower and with that he left to take a shower.

Arthur felt guilty in so many ways. He was causing a disturbance in Bryce's life, and this was the longest he had ever spoken to him. "Listen, Bryce... You know why I'm concerned, right?"
Bryce blinked. "No."
"I'm just concerned about you... You need someone to look out for you."
"I've looked out for myself my entire life, sir. I think I'm all right."
"You mean your parents haven't looked out for you at all?"
Silence was his only response.
Bryce just stood there, his young form stiff and adult-like before him. Awfully adult-like. For a moment, Arthur wondered if Bryce was still a kid at all.
"Bryce..."
( It is ... DOnt forget Spidey were almost to the end so we can start the jail break scene :)Julian began lathering himslef up with suds but this was terrible with Bryce to wash him he was even more lonely then before.

Arthur shook his head, expression pained. "No, don't call me that. Don't call me sir." He cupped his hand around his chin. "I want you to know I care, Bryce. I care a lot, and I'll look out for you. I'll - "
"You don't have to do that."
"I want to!" It came out a little sharper than he intended, and it was obvious from that small look of surprise on the boy's face.
Bryce watched Arthur carefully. "I don't understand sir." It slipped out.
He was silent. "I'm not just an over zealous guidance counselor, Bryce. I... I'm..."
( Awww alright but you get to take over Three villains... how about Electro, Rhino, and Sandman? and i'll do Doc Ock, Vulture, and Mysterio)Julian had no idea of drama about to unfold only 15 feet away from as him as he neared the end of his mid long shower.

Bryce stood there, adjusting him arms to hug himself in the chilly air. He shifted his weight to the other foot. He just wanted to get this done with, he wanted Julian back beside him without doubt, he just wanted to curl up on the bed with him and watch MTV all night until -
"I'm your father, Bryce."
And all the thoughts he might have had came crashing down around him simply by those three hesitant words. Bryce didn't move, he didn't breathe. All sounds just shut themselves out and left him deaf in shock.
He saw Arthur's mouth forming words, saw the pained look on his face, but none of it mattered.
"I'm so sorry," Arthur swallowed. "Bryce, if I could go back in time I would. I would have visited if I had the choice. I swear, I just - "
"What?"
The word came out of the boy's lips delicately, blankly. Innocently.
Arthur's heart ached to watch him so stunned. "Son - "
Bryce suddenly flared with bristling hackles. "Don't call me that." He said quietly, coldly.
Julian finally finished and began drying off and cleaning when he saw the fog cover the window and sighed happily drawing a heart and in the heart drew J+B.

Arthur stopped, feeling his chest constrict as if Bryce's words had literally choked him. "Wh... What?" He said, although he had heard well enough.
"I said," the boy turned his face away from him, his words hushed but sharp all the same. "Please don't call me that, sir." As soon as they had appeared the hackles vanished and left Bryce dry and numb. Reverted back to robot until he could deal with the idea of Arthur not only being his father; but of abandoning him as well. Disapproving of Julian hadn't helped his odds either.
"But, I - "
"Left me." Bryce cut in to coldly finish the sentence for him. "You left me completely alone... No nothing. I didn't even know you existed anymore." He didn't move at all, only letting his eyes slide up to him as he spoke.
Arthur took a step closer to him, beginning to panic in a way he never had before. No, how could he believe that? "That wasn't my choice, Bryce. I swear. I tried to get to you, but your mother..." His hand was on the back of his head again as he trailed off, trying to think of a way to phrase this. "She took you away. She didn't want me in your life. I'm sorry - "
He cut himself off as the boy, his boy, simply shrugged. "Whatever."
Bryce was a hurricane of emotions inside. Anger, hurt, happiness... All of them were thrashing about his chest as if he were a gigantic blender. But Bryce didn't know what to do, so he began shutting it all out. Slowly, one by one. Anger showed first, but soon it was locked away. Then hurt, and then...
This one he didn't want to get rid of. It was bright and it was warm, but yet it was alien to him. So he locked it away as well, guarding himself with this strange method he had learned over time.
Arthur's expression crumpled even further. "No, please don't say whatever Bryce..." He nearly pleaded, now only a stride away from him. "Aren't you at least a little happy to see me?"
The boy's dark blue eyes flicked up to meet Arthur's, his father's, and he took a small breath. "I don't know, sir."
( Con it's not Arthur's fault he loved you more then anything... :)Julian finally decided to go back to the tv and wacth Mad Tv knowing Bryce would come back soon.

Arthur looked very much like he wanted to hug Bryce. Who wouldn't if put in his position? He kind of stood there, his shoulders leaning forward slightly but his expression saying he was unsure of what to do. "Well," he finally said, finally standing upright and turning away from the boy resignedly. "For what it's worth... I never stopped loving you."
Bryce felt a shiver of emotion escape him, and it made his eyes prick and burn... It made his throat tense sharply. He watched Arthur quietly, with all the silence of a thousand unspoken words. It would be unfair to say he loved him back... Even if he was his father. It would be nothing more than a lie, because how could one immediately love a person the instant they announce they created you?
"It's okay, Arthur."
And all of a sudden his arms were around him.
All of a sudden they were closer than they had been for sixteen years, touching and, more or less, together again.
Arthur hugged Bryce back a passion he knew his son didn't share yet, but he hoped he would in the future. "You're not angry?"
It sounded like a childish question, and even in the man's adult voice it sounded juvinile; but it was important. It's a question they were both asking themselves despite their age.
Bryce was silent for a moment, and then let go of Arthur and took a step back. "No," he finally said. "I'm not. I don't think... I don't know."
The confusion was obvious in his voice, and the man knew to give it a break now before the poor boy exploded with backed up emotions he simply refused to feel. "Alright Bryce." A hand made its way into his son's hair. "Thank you." He lead him back to the sliding door. "And by the way," he said, pausing before the door. "I've decided to like Julian after all."
Then they came back indoors.
( Dawwww :D)Julian immediately snapped back into attention waiting for Bryce to cuddle up beside him.

He didn't even pause in the doorway. Bryce climbed up onto the bed and curled up with Julian as if there was nowhere else for him to be.
Arthur walked across the room and shrugged his jacket on again. "Goodbye boys." He said quietly. "Get some sleep." Was he implying something...?
But the door clicked behind him and he was gone.
Julian gave one last nod to Arthur before wrapping his arms securely around Bryce and cuddling into him.

Bryce burrowed into his even further, pressing his head into Julian's shoulder so he couldn't see the light. He held him close, maybe a little tighter than usual. It was Hell trying to keep all his emotions reigned in... He felt about to explode.
" Babe.." Julian said sternly. " please... let it out.."
