Sebastian When i saw that percy could tell Carter when he needed him, just once, I thought, is this going to be in the next percy jackson book?? Or is he just going to keep this to mess with us?

Stephanie I think that this was what Percy had been doing before he disappeared. Like maybe a few weeks before.

But there might be a book with both Greek, Egyptian, and Roman gods

♪♫Gloria♫♪ I hope not.

Elizabeth I hope not to. Love PJ and HoO but not a big fan of the KC

Hannah I am almost positive that Rick is going to write a sequel series to the Kane Chronicles. The Serpent's Shadow ended very openly, and he definitely hinted that they need to deal with Setne (who I am positive is the one to blame for the crocodile) It might not be for awhile, but a sequel series is probably in the future and it will probably involve the Percy Jackson characters too.

I don't think it would happen but in the last HoO book but it WOULD fit in since Egypt was a foe of both Greece and Rome. You never know!

A. Frost Oh my gods. A series with Greek gods, Roman gods, and Egyptian gods? If not epic, that would at least be very interesting. ;D

Huh. Well, Percy is able to call for Carter one time, so there is a chance Carter will show up in "Percy's world."

YES!!! It's most likely Setne or someone sent by him. Riordan did end the Serpent's Shadow with major hints at both Setne and "the other gods." I doubt that Riordan will put the Kanes into the Heroes of Olympus series mostly because there are too many Percy Jackson fans who still haven't read the Kane Chronicles yet. I've loved the Percy books for years and I just finished for the first time all three Kane books this last week. Riordan throwing the Kanes into the House of Hades chaos would be a little too much and very confusing, but he might throw some hints.

Julia I don't think there will be much crossover between Percy Jackson and the Kanes. Right now all they have in common is geography, and I think Rick's already milked that commonality as much as he can to write Son of Sobek and those fun little hints in the Kane Chronicles.

But to really bring the Greeks and the Egyptians together, and have a good story to tell, he needs to find a strong commonality within the mythology. That's why it works so well to have the Romans and Greeks in the same story. But the Egyptians are very different. He hinted at this fact in the discussion Carter and Percy had at the end; they both seemed to sense that their being together was somehow very dangerous.

I think Rick gave Percy the ability to call Carter just to keep that door open. But I don't think he should (or will) do another crossover just to do it. I think the little hints (like Carter seeing the Pegasus in the Manhattan sky) are just fun little treats for Rick's biggest fans.
