And then Seb -he's blind- accidentally touches me, so Dad freaks out then."

Josh walked up to the field. He glances up at the sky, they had made it just in time. "Good we made it." He sat down near some flowers. "Just wait a minute. Then the real show starts."

He smiled. "Not many people know, but this is one of the best spots to see, this." He gestures with his arm towards the perfect sunset in front of them

He grinned at her reaction. "I always watched the sunsets at home. So when I got here I roamed a lot, trying to find the best spot."

Elvira was sitting on a branch in an oak tree, one leg dangling down, about halfway up, enough off the ground for her to feel truly safe and comfortable. She was munching on some almonds she had snagged from the dining pavilion earlier that day.

Gwen sat in the field and smiled, closing her eyes. The wind blew through and tossed her hair about. Birds twittered in the nearby trees and crickets chirped.
Everything was so peaceful....

Elvira was looking around the field. To her left, a girl was sitting in the grass. Elvira recognized Gwen. Taking a careful aim, she let an almond fly, hitting Gwen right on the shoulder. Elvira grinned to herself, sure the oak's leaves were enough to hide her from view.

Gwen's flinched and jumped up, getting into a fighting stance.
"Who's there?!" she yelled, looking up at the tree the person...or...whatever was likely hiding in.
She cast a glance at the ground and saw a almond laying in a patch of grass.
That must have been what hit me

Elvira bit her lip to keep from laughing, and chucked another almond at Gwen's thigh, hitting it.

Gwen felt anger rise within her. Why was this person being so....annoying?! She had just wanted to sit in the field quietly, thinking over...things.
And then a thought struck her. Maybe....
"Is that you Elvira?"

Elvira yelled "Open wide!" laughing, then threw an almond straight to Gwen's mouth.

Gwen opened her mouth and caught it.
She swallowed and shook her head.
"Get down from there Elvira! I haven't talked to you in fooorever!"

Elvira grabbed a branch above her head, then unfurled her long legs and swung down, landing lightly on her feet a few years from Gwen. "I know! It's been over a week!" She replied, running to Gwen and giving her a hug.

Gwen hugged Elvira back.
Why did she never seem to see her anymore?
She pulled away and grabbed Elvira by the shoulders.
"What's been up? Have you met any cute boys? Or gone on any dates?"

Elvira laughed and put her hands on top of Gwen's hands. "Nothing much, yes, and negative." She replied to Gwen's questions in order. "What about you? Spill all!"

"Uh...well I did kinda...go on a date......" Gwen said, turning red. She felt weird saying it out loud.....

Elvira gasped and then plopped onto the ground, pulling Gwen down as well. "Tell me all!" She squealed. Then she clapped a hand over her mouth. "Did I just squeal?! I'm turning into Aphrodite, darn it!"

"Yep, I'm totally fine. As you can see, I'm not dead right now" Gwen said with a grin, happy that Elvira cared.
"Anyways....so he's a son of Zeus. And I..uh...was basically half asleep at one point because he was massaging my shoulders and I hadn't slept for real in like, three days and he ended up taking me to my cabin and then he really quickly kissed me right before he left!" Gwen knew she was babbling but she couldn't help it. This was so....so...exciting!

"Oh my gods!" Elvira exclaimed, incredibly happy for Gwen. "I'm so excited for you!" She grew serious. "Is he serious about it? Are you serious about it? Because if he breaks your heart or does anything at all to hurt you, I will personally make him rue the day he was born." Elvira told Gwen, deadly serious.
