"Just because you never said that doesn't mean the idea wasn't there," I said jokingly. "Those your only weapons?" I ask her.

She rolled her eyes again. "No I have a sword to, but I prefer these. You don't have to be as close to a person to sicken one of these into them. Well, as long as you have good aim." She shrugged and leaned against the tree.
I drew my knife. "This is all I need. My dad gave it to me when I turned fifteen." The Celestial Bronze gleamed in the sunlight. The knife was longer than most. I flipped it, laying it flat against my forearm.
"Well at least some of the gods seem caring enough to help out there children." She shook her head and laughed a little. "Nice knife by the way." She said glancing at it then pushed of the tree and walked back to her spot and took a couple steps backward.
"Yeah, sure is. Never failed me. Course, I've only had to use it a couple times, so I don't know much about it." I tell her, following her. I squatted beside her, watching her as she got ready to throw her knife.
Megan looked at him a little confused then shrugged it off. She swung her dagger once then threw, hitting the center of the tree. "I have to much time on my hands. I need to do something useful." She threw another one and almost missed the tree.
I shrugged, then stood and drew my knife, throwing it at the tree. They blade stuck in perfectly, quivering with the force of the throw.
She glared at him. "Show off." She threw her last and complete missed the tree. "Damnit" she mumbled and went to go find.
"Nah. Beginner's luck. I just watched what you did and tried to copy it." I tell her, following her. I stopped and removed my knife out of the tree and sheathed it.
"If you say so." She looked around on the ground looking for her dagger. "Where did it go?" She found it, when she practically stepped on it, "There it is." She picked it up and wiped off the dirt then went to get her other ones.
"You alright?" I ask. "Seems like you're pissed off at the world
"No not the world. Just my father." She pulled out the daggers from the tree. "If he wasn't a god I swear I'd beat him." She glanced at him and shrugged.
"Who's your father?" I asked, curiosity tinging my tone
"Hades." she mumbled and put her daggers away. She leaned against the tree again, facing him.
"Hades, huh." I asked. "What's he like? I haven't met another god other than my dad."
"A pain in the..." She stopped herself. "Lovely, he his just peachy." She had a tinge of sarcasm in her response. She slid down the tree and sat on the ground.
I sat next to her. "Why don't you like him? I asked.
"I give you a ton of reasons why I don't like." Megan thought for a moment. "I guess you could say he 'Cursed' me." she glanced at him then at the sky.
"'Cursed' you?" I ask, looking sidelong at her. "It's not like a curse where anyone who meets you withers and dies or something, right?"
She laughed and shook her. "Oh no no no. " she sighed. "i try to give you a short explanation." She took a deep breath. "Okay, so... i have the power to see people darkest fears, but" She looked at him. "it happens any time I come into skin contact with another person. Oh, and it usually ends with me fainting, because it takes up a lot of energy." She nodded once and looked back up at the sky.
"So it would be a bad idea to touch you?" I asked. "Ah ell. Girls never liked me much anyway. I pull too many jokes.. One time I got a biscuit, some grape jelly, and a bit of grape flavored lube... Yeah, I sang soprano for the next week. I'm sure you can figure that out.
'Yeah it wouldn't be such a great idea to touch me." Megan looked at him and raised an eyebrow, then laughed. "But jokes and pranks are fun." She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Of course they are, but usually the prank-ee doesn't really appreciate it. I superglued someones pants to a toilet once." I sad, leaning back and laughing. "That was great. One of my best pranks ever."
"That is pretty great. How'd you pull that off? " She looked at him curiously. "That was probably pretty great." She laughed a little and shook her head.
" I figured I'd trap him, so what I did was just hit the toilet he went to everyday around 4. See, he always did that. Without fail, he'd go and take a dump there. SO I just laid a ring of superglue on the toilet seat and left the lid up and boom." I said, remembering it.
Megan laughed and shook her head. "Lee, you are ridiculous." She rolled her eye and looked at him. She laughed again and looked up at the sky.
"Oh, wait till you actually get to know me." I said, "I can do worse, though i usually don't do stuff like that to my friends, so looks like you're safe."
"Who said I wanted to be your friend?" She looked at him and nudged him. It was a good thing she had a sweatshirt on, so she didn't exactly touch him. She smiled a little.
"Well if you don't that's all you gotta say," I said. "Now, if you don't wanna be my friend you'll be fair game. So I'd be careful." I said, elbowing her gently in the side.
"Careful? Pshh, I have eyes in the back of my head." She shrugged. "Well, not literally, but you know what I mean." She glanced at him and nudged him again.
"Eyes int eh back of your head, huh? That's not creepy at all." I elbowed her again, grinning. "I could do this all day you know. You won't win."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that." She grinned back at him and nudged him again. "I can be kinda stubborn, so I don't think your going to win this."
"Oh we'll see about that." I laughed, nudging her back. "Remember, you got a son of Hermes here. You know we're stubborn." I said.
"Yeah there's no doubt about that." She nudged him back. "Probably even more stubborn then the Aphrodite kids." She laughed and rolled her eyes.
"I don't know about all that, but whooo are the Aphrodite girls fine. Bit prissy, but still fine." I said, laughing, then nudged her in the side.
"No way. Those girls are like, ya know what I not even going to try to explain what there like. Definitely more annoying then you." She rolled her eyes and nudged him back.
"Oh, of course. I wouldn't go near one with a ten foot pole, but I don't mind admiring them from afar." I said, nudging her back.
Megan nudged him again. "Ya know, for a Hermes kid. You're actually not that bad." she looked at him. "And I know some pretty bad Hermes guys. I warned them no to mess with me. The next thing they knew they were hanging by my daggers on the arena wall." She shook her and laughed a little at the memory. "They stole my candy."
"...Your candy." I said, poking her. "Well then. Better hide it good, cuz I got some light fingers. Hey wait! What do you mean for a Hermes kid ?"
She laughed. "I think you know what I mean." She glanced at him and nudged his shoulder with hers. "A lot of the Hermes kids are annoying, sometimes rude, mean, and arrogant." She half smiled. "you're about have of those"
"Half?" I asked. "Which might those be?" I said, headbutting her shoulder.
"Umm, lets see. You're definitely annoying, you're not really mean, arrogant or rude, but you are cocky." She laughed and looked at him funny. "and strange."
"Strange?" I asked. "How so? And I told you I'd win."
"I don't know, you just are." She poked his leg. "No you haven't won yet."
"Is it good strange or bad strange?" I asked, butting her with my shoulder.
"A good strange" She nodded and poked his side this time.
"That's a first," I said, pulling a butterfly knife out of my pocket and idly twirling it, pausing only to poke her with the hilt of it. "Usually it's a bad kind of strange."
"Well I could understand why people think that." She said jokingly. She poked him again. "Careful, I'd like to keep all my limbs where they are."
"You think this little think is gonna cut off a limb?" I asked, tossing the butterfly into the air, poking her, then catching it and resuming the flipping. "A good friend of mine taught me how to use a butterfly knife," I said, leaning back.
"That's a possibility. I've seen a lot of weapons that don't look like they could hurt somebody. then the next thing you know you have a huge cut down the palm of your hand. " She looked down at her hand and she hand a scar from a cut on it. "How many good friends do you?" She asked him curiously.
