Jade sighed and closed her eyes. She never knew how lonely she was until now. She hated knowing this. She also hated the feeling that came with it. She would've screamed by now if it weren't for the fact that there was a person next to her.

"Are you alright?" Coy asked, noticing she looked frustrated.

Jade didn't answer. All she did to respond was shrug. She was tired of lying to people. She wished she could be like some of the normal Aphrodite kids, or even better be someone from a different cabin. Either way she wished she wasn't her. She wished she was more social, and happy.

Coy sat up and looked her in the eye, "did I say something to upset you?" He asked worriedly.

Jade couldn't help but give a small laugh. "Do you think you have said something mean? I don't. In fact I think you've only been nice to me. Forgive me for my attitude." Jade said opening her eyes to see the guy looking at her. She moved her head so he wouldn't see her eyes.

"There's nothing to forgive," Coy said truthfully. Jade hadn't done anything wrong.

"No I believe that my attitude has been confusing you." Jade said smiling at the thought of someone being confused because if her. "So I believe being sorry is an option."

Coy just looked at her eyes for a bit. "I was thinking about you," he admitted after a while and he looked down.

Jades eyes went wide. Of coarse she would blush at such words. Nobody had ever said anything like that to her. Then again, wasn't it natural? "Well...I guess since me being an Aphrodite child..." No. She wouldn't say that. She could hardly believe it herself. She couldn't make herself think of herself as a daughter of Aphrodite. "Thanks." She said instead and blushed again.

Coy looked down again. Why had Jade looked surprised at his compliment? She was a Aphrodite kid, she probably got compliments all the time.

"You should have courage to say whatever you want to say. And you shouldn't let her head down." Jade said encouragingly. Then she smiled at him. It was a true and powerful and kind smile. A smile she had never given to anybody.

Coy looked up at her again. He returned the smile with a genuine smile he didn't use often. He was always worried about Zola.

"But seriously. I thank you for saying that. It's not every day I get a compliment." Jade said smiling. Actually, she had never gotten a compliment. Well if you didn't count her dad.

"Really?" Coy asked, surprised. "You can't be serious."

"I'm as serious as I can get...I think. No actually I'm not. I'm my second most serious. My first serious is my bad side." Jade had no idea why she had told him that. "But yeah. Guess I...just don't exist most of the people at camp. Which at times I don't mind."

"Well, they consider me a loner. I guess it may be true. But you know, not even loners really want to be alone. They just don't know how to socialize." Jade shrugged and finally looked down to the ground. She thought it had felt great to finally look at someone in the eyes.

"If you want, I could give you some tips," Coy offered. He never thought he'd say that to an Aphrodite girl. He always looked up to them for advice.

"A tip? For socializing? I...sure." Jade said. She was going to resist, but she didn't want to be lonely the rest if her life.

"Don't be so shy, make eye contact." Coy told her. "And I know you probably think it sounds corny, but be yourself. If people don't accept you for who you are, they aren't worth it."

Jade looked up. She was actually glad to have agreed that he could give her advise. She fought herself to look into his eyes. Once she did, she smiled. "Thanks. But you should know that with me, there is a side I can't show anyone. It's a side that would scare anyone. I can't be controlled once I turn to that side." Jade said. Her eyes were filled with fear. She remembered the last time she had turned to that side. She had almost killed someone innocent.

"Then you probably should be your good side around people and your bad side when you're alone," Coy suggested.

"No. I can't EVER be on my bad side. That's...why I'm always alone. I'm afraid someone will get me upset and that..." Jade didn't finish her words. She was afraid.

Coy rested his hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "I'm sorry I said anything..."

She held up the number one for Aphrodite. Then took out her writing pad. 'Thats alright' she wrote.

Crystal laughs and decides to let him deal with it as the hellhound charged at him.

Sean smiled as he enjoyed the challenge and tossed the javelin into the hounds side though he knew it would continue its charge. He readied his other weapon waiting to defend.

The hound picks up speed and gets close to Sean.

Sean waited to the last second of the hounds charge, able to smell Hades on it. He then vaults over the animal with his spear then turns it and smacks the hound in the ribs with the flat end.
