"it's not rude at all," Coy assured her, "I've been here for two years, and I'm 14," he told her.

"Cool. I've been here for 2 years I also." Jade said realizing how long it has been.

[Elmina]

"Really? You've been here for two years and you've never been to the field?" Coy asked, surprised.

"Yeah. I know." Jade said blushing. She knew she should've gone a long time ago, but she wasn't interested like she was now.

"I'm surprised I haven't seen you around before," Coy said.

"I like to stick around shadows. You know, like, being alone. I don't like to be around my cabin sisters and brothers, or whatever they are called." Jade said looking at the ground. She realized she had been doing that a lot.

"I guess we have something on common, with no liking our cabin mates, I mean," Coy said.

"Why don't you like your cabin mates?" Jade asked.

"It's not that I don't like them, they're just so anti social. They spend all their time in the forge," Coy explained.

"Oh. I'm sorry. Is that why you don't like making weapons?" Jade asked. She finally looked up at his face.

"Nah, I just don't enjoy it. I tried to get better, but it's not fun to me," Coy said.

"What is fun for you?" Jade asked curiously. Once again she couldn't hold her head up. She didn't know why, but she just didn't like it when people could see her eyes. Maybe it was because she thought they would be able to see her emotions.

"Archery," Coy told her. He wondered why she wouldn't look a her. She probably had a good reason.

"I love archery! It's my favorite. I often do go there, when ever I'm not in the forest." Jades aid happily. She tried yet again to look up at him, but she was having such a hard time.

Xion walks in the fields

xion walks over to Rosemary and says "Hi I'm xion, who are you?"

Rosemary looked up and blushed. She opened and closed her mouth and sighed. She took out her note book and wrote:

xion looks at her "Are you mute, or shy?"

Rosemary sighed. She looked down.

Raven like... Gave it to her and then left to be with some other girl.

"Archery is really fun. When I first came to camp, people thought I was a child of Apollo until I was claimed by Hephaestus." Coy said.

"I'm so sorry" xion says sitting down next to her "It must be awful, so do you know who your godly parent is?" she asks

"Heh. I already knew who my parent was when I had came. My dad used to tell me about her all the time! But with the way I used my weapons, at times I thought I was an Ares child." Jade said.

Rosemary grinned and nodded. She looked at him and made a heart with we hands.

"Wow, you're lucky. I came here a few years before my sister so she knew who her parent was as soon as she came here because I told her," Coy said.

"Yeah. I guess I'm lucky." Jade said sadly. She didn't really think she was lucky. In fact she thought she was opposite of lucky.

"What's wrong?" Coy asked, worried. Did he say something that upset her?

"Mmm...nothing. It's not important. Have you ever spent the night in the forest?" Jade asked trying to change the topic, though she didn't know why she asked that kind of question.

Coy cocked his head slightly. "No," he replied, "why?"

"Just wondering, I guess." Jade lied. "It's so peaceful there. Plus there are so many animals. And some of the trees can give fruits to eat if your hungry. I usually either bring and apple or just pick one from a tree." Jade shrugged feeling confident that he had surely forgotten seeing her sad that moment ago.

Coy nodded thoughtfully as his mind wandered. Why had she been so sad before? Why did she ask if he had ever slept in the forest? Why did he care!?

"Oh, but I am probably bothering in some way. If you want I can leave." Jade said finally able to look up at his face.

"You're not bothering me," Coy assured her quickly.

"No? Well ok." Jade sat back down and looked up at the sky.

Coy sat next to her. "I'm not bothering you, am I? Because if I am, just tell me and I can leave," he said.

"No. And I can get bothered pretty easily. So I guess you can stay, if you want." Jade said still admiring the sky.

"Thanks." Coy laid on his back and stared at the clouds.

"They're so strange aren't they? The clouds." Jade said. She didn't mean for it to sound like a question, and she knew he probably wouldn't understand what she was saying, which was fine with her.

"Yeah," Coy agreed, "they are." He nodded as he continued admiring them

Jades eyes went wide. She didn't know he would actually understand her. Hardly anybody did so of coarse this was a shock for her. Jade just shook her head and gave a half smile. She continued to watch the clouds move across the sky, making strange shapes, breaking apart, and then only to attach themselves back to another cloud.

Coy saw her shock out of the corner of his eyes and was confused. When she smiled, he stopped worrying about it. She sure was a strange girl, but he liked her.

"You know...I can't ever see the sky in the forest. I guess it's the one flaw that forests have." Jade said realizing how true it was.

Coy nodded. "You're right. That and on Fridays, it gets really noisy." He adds.

"I guess. But where I go, I don't get much noise. I call it my tree. It's so quiet there that I'm surprised know one else has gone over there. Though every once and a while I meet someone from here." Jade informed.

Coy nodded. "That sounds like a great place," he said happily.

"I'd be happy to show it to you sometime, but you'd have to promise me to not tell any of your friends where it is at." Jade said smiling.
