So after changing my mind many times, I ended up reading Happy Birthday to Me (Task Force Iota, #2.5) by Anne Tenino . It was a sweet follow-up to the series. Thanks for the rec :)

(It isn't the cop-out it seems, I re-read
18% Gray and then read Turning Tricks before reading this one :) )

Ashley | 449 comments Hi Christina,
I just got back from vacation and while I was gone I read the following picks.

Morrigan's Cross by Roberts, Nora which I gave 2 stars. I wasent able to connect with the main characters. However I am going to read the next book because I would like to find out about some of the other characters like his brother.
Morrigan's Cross (Circle Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts

Cinder by Meyer, Marissa I gave it 3 stars and I have already read the 2nd book! I am just bummed the third one is not out yet.
Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer

Storm Front by Jim Butcher great new series I gave it 3 stars.
Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher

Magic Rises by Andrews, Ilona I gave this 3.5 stars. I loved it but it wasent my favorite of the series. I wanted more romance and less of Curran being an ass.

Hi Leslie

I read my 2nd and 3rd pick Pride Mates (Shifters Unbound, #1) by Jennifer Ashley and Letters to a Secret Lover by Toni Blake and enjoyed both of them, I think I might still be able to get in Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick, #2) by Kristen Ashley before the end of the month.

Hopefully, I'll be able to fit it another read, Seducing Cinderella! :)

I actually finished a book for this challenge and I didn't think I had.

I read Still Alice by Lisa Genova. I gave it 5 stars. It was a bit slow to start with but it picked up after the first few chapters. I'll try an do a review when I feel less under the weather.

Thanks for recommending this book.

I finished reading Frostbite by Richelle Mead and it was ok. I think I need more time to get into this series. It felt like this book didn't move as quickly as the first one.

I just finished Hissy Fit, which was on my TBR since forever! I don't know why I waited, because I LOVED it! Thanks for the push to read it. I will definitely be reading more of her books asap. Also, even though I won't have time to finish any more of the picks before the end of the month, I am keeping them at the top of my TBR stack and will continue reading them because they all look so good. Thanks again for great picks!

Jojo | 1010 comments Hi Macwolf01

Sorry I haven't shown any progress - it's been the school holidays and between the kids, visiting family and holidays I haven't gone near my computer to update but I have been reading.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was the first read aned it was OK but not as good as other zombie books (World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War is still my favourite.

Call Me Irresistible was very enjoyable and I was really in the mood for some light hearted reading, that said the heroine put up with a lot of stick and I'm not sure I would have so OK with it.

Nothing To Fear was my final PIFM read and I really enjoyed this - Romantic suspense seems to be my top reads lately.

Thanks for the picks they were really good.

Nichole | 1010 comments Amy J., I finished another pick this month. Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews and I loved it, as usual!

Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1) by Kendare Blake The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden, #1) by Julie Kagawa An Offer From a Gentleman (Bridgertons, #3) by Julia Quinn

Anna and Immortal were both new to me. I enjoyed them and would like to pick up the sequels.

Stormy | 144 comments Bre,

Finished Heaven and Hell...it was a bit of a slog for me. I just didn't really like the hero, but I do appreciate things Kristen Ashley, so was happy to finally push through the end.

I also finished Be With Me, I know you offered a buddy read, but we were reaching the end of the month...I picked it up from the library on Saturday and pretty much flew through it.

I have Tangled on deck, if you are interested in a buddy read...I know you are setting up for the Sept PIFM challenge, so let me know. I've got the book for about 2 weeks. Let me know.

Thanks for the great picks. Appreciate it!

-Kerste

Macwolf01 [Elise] (macwolf01) | 1012 comments Hi Brandilyn,

Thankfully I finished Backstage Pass on time this month, I was a few days late last month. It was pretty goods nice and steamy. Found it took a long time to get to understand the characters and their quirks.

Thanks for the pick.

Pam | 1048 comments Elke-
I finished my second bookAnd One Last Thing .... I did the audio because I really like how the narrator does Molly Harper. It was hysterical!!!

I bought the audio to listen to on a long car ride when I was driving and the others were sleeping but my husband got sucked into the story and listened to the whole thing (even went back to listen to the part he missed when he was sleeping). My adult son was not impressed but I LOVED it. Thank you for the recommendation.

So, I was able to fit in Seducing Cinderella before the month ends. It was a good book and I gave it 4 stars.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to read another book with only 2 days remaining for August, so, I guess that's it for now. Thanks for being my PIFM partner!

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 86 comments Thanks for all the updates, MountainKat!! So glad you enjoyed all of your picks.

I am sorry I haven't been around lately, work has been insane and so has home life. I completely missed out on September's PIFM, wahhhh!

I need to look at the books that were chosen for me again to see if I've read some that I haven't reported back about yet.

Wow Ashley - You've been busy this month! It sounds as if you liked some of the books. I'm reading Magic Rises right now and so far, I love it. I think that Curran will always beoverbearing. That's just his personality.

For the Nora Roberts book, the third book is the best and is all about the brother Cian. I hope you like this one.

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 86 comments Pam:

I just wanted to let you know that even though I only got around to reading one of your picks (Heat Lightning, I really did appreciate the time you took to choose all of the titles you did. I will read as many of them as I can get my hands on in due time and wish I'd had more time to read some of them in August. August was very demanding in real life, though, unfortunately. Loved Heat Lightning and will continue the series!

I know it is September and I hope you see this, because I just finished The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister and LOVED it! It is one of the funniest romances I ever read. Thank you SO much for recommending it. It has been on my TBR for a while, and this was the push I needed to get to it. I will definitely be reading a lot more of Katie McAlister's books in the near future. (If you want, take a look at my review here on GR to see more of what I thought of it!)
Thanks again for the great recs for August!
