I know this is totally random, but does it seem like the weekend is over as quickly as it starts? I wish 3 day weekends were mandatory and 4 day work weeks were the norm.

Lekeisha (lekeishathebooknerd) I know right! I'm using a sick day today. My alarm just went off, and I jumped up. I forgot that I called in last night after I got in from the movies. I'm back off to my bed now :-)

Lekeisha,

Oh no. I side from chronic migraines and take 3 freaking pills (well, it's more than that but 3 different brands). So I know what you are going through. I hate you have to suffer through them too. They are terrible.

Have you been able to determine your triggers? Unfortunately I have not. I do believe stress is one of them.

Lekeisha (lekeishathebooknerd) Stress is my main trigger. But I notice after I eat Chinese food, here comes one. So I've erased that off my menu. I can't take prescribed meds, as they make me nauseous. Excedrin works sometimes, but lately I just have to be inside with the tv off and blinds closed. Sometimes coffee helps.

Awwwww....I am so sorry. The new meds don't make me sick like the old ones did. But like you, the best thing is a dark room, no noise and just sleep (if it is possible). I sure hope they get better for you.

Cassie (mililnerd) | 82 comments In what I am studying at the moment I have learnt that the triggers for a migraine could be stress or tight neck muscles so I could suggest going and get a massage to release the build up tension within the neck

Lekeisha (lekeishathebooknerd) I'm thinking about going to see a chiropractor as well. My coworker suggested that, so I'm going to make an appointment. I was going mad the other day. And crying makes the pain worse.

Dollie Lemon | 23 comments I suffer from migraines. But I have a friend who gets 15+ a month. They are doing botox injections to her skull. She says it helps and now she doesn't get as many. For me, I have gotten migraines since I gave birth. Mine are usually hormonal and I take meds at home but sometimes I have to get shots and boy do those send me to the moon. Migraines just suck. Plain and simple. Massage, chiropractic both are good. Everybody is different. Best of luck to you. I hate to hear people in pain.
