iPhones aren't too hard to unlock. My husband has a cell phone business toh I used to unlock iPhones for him all the time. Takes some research, lekin it wasn't too hard. That was about a year ago, haven't kept up with all the updates.

Aalia you're right larki. Lekin screens are fragile, no doubt.

Owaiz wrote: "Get an AT&T wala iPhone and I'll get in unlocked for free."

i have the software for unlocking phones. :P you don't have to worry about it. :P

message 655: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz @Zenab: Cool, I learned how to do that too. I had to fix my phones (jailbreak and all) because I kept locking them and messing all the way from my iPhone 2G till my 4. Now I've an unlocked 4s so I don't mess around much, besides the jailbreaking got so complicated what with baseband issues and pata nahi kia kia.

@Aalia: Listen Ms. Saudia, dekho, tum Zenab ko unsophisticated mat kaho. Mujhe jo kehna hai keh lo. Where's the fun in a phone when you take care of it? I put mine in my lap and either sleep or forget and when I get up it lands with a thud with dented sides but still safe. My 2G got blotches on its screen when it fell for the 5th time, lol.

AT&T is difficult to unlock, my uncle gave me a membership to some site where you put the IMEI and its unlocked the next day, TADA!

Haan @aalia jo kehna ha owaiz ko kaho.
The baseband issues sucked. When i didn't know about the issue it was frustrating. When i realized what was up, i told my husband send me snapshot of the about page before you say yes. But 3gs was the one where you could upgrade to the ipad baseband and unlock it then.

@maira my brother loves apple cuz it's just so awesome as it is, lekin he hates it because he can't customize it and mess with it, except put windows on it. That was awesome waisey using the imac to run windows

message 660: by Maira (new)

Maira | 5852 comments Mod
@Zenab: i might hate iphone but i like apple. and running windows on imac is sort of its bisti but i can understand why he might have done it. :P
my cousin has done the same thing with his too. :P

Owaiz @Zenab: Kabhi mujhe bhi defend kar lia karo?
The iPad baseband was a lifesaver. I bricked my phone and it was locked for a month after the update, thankfully the iPad thing came right before we went for our vacation.

I've seen a lot of people do that. My friend runs windows on her Mac to play games and other cousin has it for idk everything else?

message 667: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Ex tha, don't act like that. We were each other's rebound romances. Was over fast.

What team do u play on?

message 669: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz It didn't get that far.

message 670: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
So ur still undecided? You need a real class act to turn you around.

message 671: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz I wanted you to look at the brighter side. It was beautiful. You know, when you fall in love, you realize love is magic. It truly is. Even though it only lasted two weeks, I could see the romantic moon. It was soothing to see that him and I looked at the same moon nomatter where everytime we went out. And the beautiful sun smiling at you and the flowers waving you and the leaves whispering the songs. Love is magic, I tell you. Aren't you curious? Don't you want to know more? Lol! Come on, I expected better. You don't care. It breaks my heart. Tumhari zindagi me meri koi value hi nahi.

message 672: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
I was taken aback..... I think the two weeks love is totally a crush. Not love. And the moon magic and flowers magic lasts only that long, two weeks. I kept hoping the he and him were mistakes.

message 673: by Owaiz (last edited Jul 31, 2013 04:58PM) (new)

Owaiz You wanna know how we broke up? It was a beautiful winter evening in Islamabad. We went for a walk by the sea. Him and me, walking in the sands, watched the sun go down.

When the moon rose, from behind the sea
He kissed my hand, bent on his knee
I knew what was coming, but it wasn't me
Kicked the sand in his face and took my opportunity to flee

He never called, all night I bawled
Alone in the bed, turned and rolled

I'm such a poet and romantic one too. Lolol!

message 674: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
Twisted one too. Tum me uske dil ke saath khilvaar kia. Tumhara dil nahi hai, pathar hai. Dubara mila woh kabhi?

(Um... I'm hoping it was a ring that was next)

message 675: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Nahi, main ready nahi tha. Log kia kehtay. Of course ring hi thi, why else would he get down on a knee. Waise bhi gold thi. If it were a diamond, God knows I would've married him right there on the Islamabad Sea.

message 676: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
Oooohhh diamonds are a girl's best friend.

You said 'A' knee. Acha mein samjhi 'knees'.

message 677: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Guys best friend too. I could've pawned em or something. A trip to Thailand.

Oh haha! Horrifying implications.

message 678: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
Pawning gold might be more lucrative. Depending on the quality of the diamond... You'd might not get diddly squat.

Disturbing indeed

message 679: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz If that was the sorta diamond I was gonna get, I'm glad it didn't get that far.

message 680: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
Now are you sure that is the only reason? Think think

message 681: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz It was a rebound romance so it was bound to go down. What else?

Okay, fine, I'll admit. I was hoping he'd buy me stuff and all, but I tell you I ain't no gold-digger. We men don't dig gold, eh!

message 682: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
You just wanted a sugar daddy.
Waisey you're cute enough. You can secure you a sugar mama. You'll just have to shut that brain of urs up.

message 683: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz Larkiyan mujhay lift nahi karati. There was this one I tried to talk to but maybe I was too bold for her back then. I asked her out and she looked at me for a second and walked away. 8 months later she gets my num from my sis and texts me and goes all sweet and shitty. I would've gone for her but she told me 'I broke up with my ex a few seconds ago'. I never replied and she blocked me on FB after two days. End of story. My love life thrives just a human life does in Chernobyl.

Desi ppl freak out if you're upfront. They don't know how to react. Stare dead at you. I always gave out fake phone numbers to guys.

message 685: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz I could do with your fake number. Anything to put you in my phone with your name.

message 686: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
You can make one up.

message 687: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz You giving it to me would give it some legitimacy. Or I could use my own number and save it with your name. That way I'd even get the messages back and have a conversation with myself just the way I want.

message 688: by Zenab (new)

Zenab Ch | 2099 comments Mod
It'd b a mirror conversation. And you know that way there will always be a reply.

message 689: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz I'll delete the replies I send. No duplication. And you'll never leave me that way.

message 690: by Owaiz (new)

Lara Zuberi (larazuberi) | 571 comments Feeling happy/sad...totally mixed emotions about going back to full-time work Monday. Happy for the opportunity. Sad for the insufficient time I'll have to read and write and be an active member of this rather interesting group. So know I'm here, will try to keep up.
Wouldn't mind being a judge for the writing contest, if you guys want.
Adios with some advice: writing is a gift--cherish it, and use it wisely.

Thank you graciously @lara for offering you knowldge.
Hey guys I made a new thread under 'own words' please comment and let's hash out the details and get this rolling.

message 696: by Sohaib (new)

Sohaib | 6884 comments @Hamza since you are new here so let me tell you how things work around here... You think of an idea... or you can share whats on your mind... you post that idea on an appropriate thread... u discuss it with others... and u make friends... thats it :-P:-P... so since you fulfilled all the conditions your intrusion is not only forgiven but highly appreciated ;-):-P:-D:-D:-D:-D

Hmm... Well I dont know if i wud have enough time to write short stories... but all can count on my critic reviews :-):-)... and obviously "Help shall be given to those who ask for it" - Dumbledore :-D:-D:-D:-D

message 697: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz OMG! Lara being the judge would be so awesome. And scary.

message 698: by Lara (new)

Lara Zuberi (larazuberi) | 571 comments @owais. I have been waiting for such an opportunity where I get to be on the other side and unleash all my meanness. :)

message 699: by Owaiz (new)

Owaiz You don't look like someone who can be mean. :P But your constructive criticism frightens me nevertheless. I mean you've written sucha great story, will have to up the standards. Maybe after a few story contests I'll make progress, haha!
