Would you recommend reading The Regulators immediately after reading Desperation? Or would you space them out?

It doesn't really matter which order you read them in. They're only loosely related. However, I did enjoy reading them back to back. You'll see the alternate reality stuff more clearly that way.
But the stories are pretty independent of each other, despite connections.

What Chris said. It's fun to read them back to back just because you get to see the characters in very, very different ways - but they aren't a series, and not even really a duology - they just share characters and theme.
Okay, thanks.. I am on the last 10 pages of Desperation and wasn't sure if I would get more out of The Regulators if I read them back to back.
I read Desperation before Regulators but you don't have to read them in order. Also, I liked Desperation more.
I read them years apart, and didn't realise they were related at all until I joined this group, ha ha. I need to read them back to back.
