Same here. I like the book overall, but it's nowhere near as good as Unwind.

I know! *rant ahead*I don't understand how its been normalised. Literally the worst thing in our society today is killing or abusing kids, and in their society they have a separate police force just to round them up to be unwound!

on the other hand Pastor Dan in Unwind and her parents are a pretty good example of how people who are religious can still see right from wrong should they wish to. (view spoiler)[I don't understand how they got to the religious people though, who more than other people believe in the sanctity of bodies and some of whom don't accept blood transfusions nor believe in organ donations from dead people. Clearly there was someone VERY sneaky behind this corruption and the "adverts" we keep seeing (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

So far my favorite characters have been Cam & Miracolina and I haven't seen enough of them. The whole idea of Cam (composite person) is very interesting... I like this one too overall. I've noticed people didn't like this as much as the first but I thought it was pretty good. One thing I was unreasonably sad about is (view spoiler)[ that Miracarolina might not play an instrumental part in future books, I really liked her character development in this one but it looks like she was just there to provide Lev with forgiveness (hide spoiler)]

Sorry I'm posting a lot, have a lot of feelings about this book, and for some reason I didn't put it down for long enough to type posts as I went along.

This isn't a feel, just a fun fact. Neal Shusterman used the word 'beouf' because it was french for 'beef'. To me it seems like he's saying the army people were just slabs of meat, with no real power to think for themselves.
