Chrome Where in the book does it state that Roarke decides to turn every business dealing of his legal, so it won't cause problems for Eve? I can't find it, but am pretty sure it's this book or the 2nd one. Anyone remember?

Sheri Morell I believe it is Glory in death because Eve is asking him about his commpany Mercury and whether or not it was legit

Mimosa Glory In Death. I think it was after Eve agreed to live with Roarke. :)

Libby Vivone I have just been re-reading the series and it is in Chapter Two of the second book, right after Cicely Towers death. He's thinking about how Eve makes her living and that there were pockets of his life that would cause her concern.

message 5: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim Roarkes businesses were pretty much legal by time he met eve but yes by second book he was a good boy.

Joyce I just finished the first book and it's definitely not in there.
