Chapter 6 - I'm not 100 percent certain, but I think my cup of coffee just said, "You're my bitch."

I think that he believes there may be something "other" about how she does what she does and is trying to get proof for himself before he reveals his reasons as to why he wants to know. My current theory is it has something to do with his wife who passed away...maybe to try and contact her or maybe she's made contact attempts with him to let him know that Charley will need his help in the future?
My first thought about the SUV is that it was our cheating husband from chapter 1 and that we would be seeing more of him later on. He was WAY to angry to let things go.

I had no clue who was in the SUV. None at all. I don't think I was really paying attention and I thought maybe he was tied to the "murder" under the bridge. Fooled me, Darynda. Just like Ines said in the other thread, I love how Jones keeps us guessing.

I agree with Traci, first I thought he really wanted to know more about Charley regarding her skills to solve crimes, but after learning his wife passed away I'm not so sure anymore.
The SUV guy was the only thing I got right when it came to guessing in this book! lol Right in the beginning the way Charley said his true colours were showing when he got mad and that he was more dangerous than she initially thought, made me think he was the culprit.

Well, you got it right! He was tied to the murder the nurse saw on the bridge! ;)
Charley has her first run in with the black SUV on her way to meet Uncle Ubie. Did you have any thoughts on who might be following her at this point?
