I actually did wonder if they were trick dice. And if he did know it. I think the question of the dice is a question of faith and would be different for each reader. And perhaps for each character. I'm going to say -

For Tooth God. I would guess he was more of the believer of the two because of his father.
And Roger's sister was chance. She should have never been there. (hide spoiler)]

Roger didn't seem to be especially religious. Do you think by the end, that had changed?

That's why I picked faith for Roger. In my opinion faith and religious are two different things. You can have both. But you can have one without the other. In the end I felt Roger had faith in 'something' even if it was only faith in (view spoiler)[ his friend. (hide spoiler)]

I can't answer the dice questions but I do recommend the sequel for those seeking answers. :-)

I need more levity here, people!!! I read this a year ago and still suffer from the repercussions of the emotional punch in the nuts. Give me a joke dammit! Lift my spirits!
