"Aaww WReeck; give us a smile pleeease, WReeck.""
Hmm, at least you didn't make some allusion to Ranger Rick... ;)

Unless, of course, they don't realize what fun they are actually making to begin with.

My disease has a name. It isn't hard. NOBODY has an excuse to use a wildly, horribly inaccurate sensationalised nickname like Stone Man, Mannequin, or Medusa.
You do NOT need to 'dumb down' the condition to make it 'easier' for the public to understand. Nobody ever uses made up names for other conditions like MS, Lupus, Cancer, or others!
Why do you need to give us a joke, novelty nickname like we are an attraction? To ensure people will pay attention because they rather hear about 'the Medusa girl' than 'Fibrodypslasia Ossificans Progressiva / FOP'?
If you are willing to do interviews with FOPers or their doctors, PLEASE extend us the courtesy, etiquette, respect, and help we need by doing your job: by actually USING our disease's actual name, instead of a freakshow name only recognised by the ignorant, and not further the stigma of FOP, plus spread false awareness & information on FOP!

Reading about butchering whales. I loathe every bit of income made from the whaling trade. Especially in Nantucket. Grrr....

Double Grrr….

We watched The Cove, a documentary about killing dolphins in my grade 9 geography class. it was heart-breaking
Saw a Seaworld commercial they are changing their business model... and phasing out their in captivity breeding program as well as their Orca shows. Tears of happy news.
There is a good french film. From a few years ago.
"Rust and Bone" Marion Cottillard portrays a Orca trainer.
Overall, is a love story. Times of adversity inspire creative minds. :)

Oh… you told me you were "gym fit"…

Yes. I fit in a gym.
I don't like a school gym class with organized sports but I like a gym memberships for using the equipment.
I like gymnatoriums at colleges for watching handsome guys who have really hot bodies wrestle.

I personally refuse to go gyms. Stinky places. The first high school gym I ever walked into stank to high heaven and it made me feel nauseous. As for gym as a class, I was so thrilled to find out I did not have to take it in 11th grade I could've jumped for joy.

I quite agree. This year is one of the worst in living memory.
If Trump wins the race
Will it be with any grace?
I seriously doubt it.

If Trump wins kiss your ass good bye,
Cuz, with his foreign policy we're all going to die.
It could be N. Korea or maybe Iran, those kooks
Will react to The Donald by dropping bombs—nukes.

While I expected a more literary-minded conversation, I am more than glad to share my two salts.
It has been some time since D Day and we have found that the world isn't over yet. Much like HIV, you can contract Donald Trump and still live, albeit not without some discomfort.
Our royal Trumpiness himself is both incredibly dangerous and not dangerous at all due to his stupidity. A smarter man could do a lot more evil but a lot less damage. Yes he blabs all over the place, but he hasn't got the brains to do anything about much of anything. Is this a blessing in a disguise in a fancy dress party? Perchance. But we will have to wait and see.
I'll come back sometime to have a nice gripe about YA literature, but that can wait for when people are in a better mood can't it?
Pip pip,
Ana K

I would love to hear-er-read your gripe about YA. I might even join in! :D

I have to agree. Never been a fan of Eric, er, Clapton either. I've never understood his popularity to be honest.
