Sum | 846 comments Yo guys I'm being pressured to write something for a monthly magazine at my uni, the topic is freedom but I can't think of anything other than it should be a free verse poem. Help/inspo/sympathy would be appreciated

Isaac | 8014 comments The lovely thing about the prompt freedom is that you have the freedom (ha, ha) to do anything you can think of that involves freedom in some sort of way. Like, it can be anything from personal liberation, like being able to go out and buy the clothes you want after you parents told you no for so long, or even something as dramatic as a country in turmoil over the fight for political freedom.

With that being said, I think you have plenty of things to go off of in any sort of format -- poem or short story or essay. Sometimes thinking small is better, so even just thinking about those little freedoms you have would meet the prompt (unless they specifically mean like the freedom Americans brag about so much).
