post #45 http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

If so, I am currently reading "No Strings Attached" by Kate Angell, and it takes place during the summer.

Have fun at the reunion Barbara!

Hina, I just finished No Strings Attached by Kate Angell, which is set during the summer.

I had a blast at the reunion though it wasn't your typical reunion. I'm adopted and this was the first time I met three of my half-siblings. It was amazing to meet them and hear their stories. Truly the most emotional experience I've ever had.

OMG Barbara, I am so glad for you.

From message 38 and 39, using Barbara and Jingles book, I can almost complete a second round of category 9: friendship day. Can you guys check your unused books and see if there is a book that qualifies for the category. I need one more to finish.

Because if needed, I can check through my books read and probably complete another category or two.

Barbara, for the challenge as a whole we need to read 75 books. We only need to have one book in each category read to satisfy the mods requirement which we already do.
40/75 is not the correct total, I probably won't update that until end of day today to see how far we have gotten.
I was just using the unused books for a repeat category because just because they are there....and no reason not to see how much books we can hit. If you think you have completed another category, let me know. I will add it.

Exactly! I was looking at this very thing early this morning, and was wondering if we might be in trouble.

14. Around the world:
✔1. Sandstorm - James Rollins (Oman/Asia) 8/26
✔2. Mutiny on the Bounty - John Boyne (Pitcairn Island/Oceania/Australia) 8/20
✔3. Taking Eve - Iris Johansen (Colorado/Georgia/North America) 8/10
✔4. The Ugly Duchess - Eloisa James (England/Europe) 8/13
✔5. Last Man Standing - Cindy Gerard (Sierra Leone/Africa) 8/7

Shadow of Night which has supernatural creatures and set in Europe.
I have update my post (12)

It most certainly was. When you're adopted you always wonder if it would have been better to stay with your birth parents. In this case, no way. Those poor kids had the most horrific upbringing of anyone I've ever known personally. Reminded me of Mommy Dearest only worse. Regardless of the bad, it was wonderful to finally meet the rest of my family. We have every intention of keeping in touch and making it a yearly (if not sooner) occurrence.

Books read but not used:
USED! Clockwork Princess - Cassandra Clare (set in England) 8/2
The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf - Molly Harper (set in Alaska/female author/pub 2011) 8/3
USED! Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Seth Grahame-Smith (set in Indiana) 8/4
USED! The Well of Shades - Juliet Marillier (set in Ireland) 8/7
Fruits Basket, Volume 01 - Natsuki Takaya 8/11
A Brisket, a Casket - Delia Rosen (set in Tennessee/female author/pub 2010) 8/13
The Snake, the Crocodile & the Dog - Elizabeth Peters (set in Egypt) 8/13
Winter Kiss - Deborah Cooke (set in Ohio) 8/14
The Big Sleep - Raymond Chandler (set in California) 8/16
USED! Kill Me Again - Maggie Shayne (set in Vermont) 8/16
USED! Deep Six - Clive Cussler (set in summer) 8/23
Eyes Wide Open - Andrew Gross (set in California/eyes on cover) 8/26
The Seventh Sinner - Elizabeth Peters (set in Italy) 8/28
The Sweetest Thing - Jill Shalvis (set in summer) 8/28
River of Eden - Glenna McReynolds (set in Brazil) 8/29
Utterly Charming - Kristina Grayson (set in summer) 8/30
Capture My Heart - Bobbi Smith (jewelry on cover) 8/30

Barbara, I'm glad it was a wonderful reunion for you, and that you were able to connect with your family members. I know it is not always an easy thing to do.

I will finish Bride by Mistake tomorrow probably and it is set during the summer (which is really the only reason to finish because it's really not very well written)

Unfortunately won't be able to finish my last book this month "Good Omens". Sorry :-)

Capture My Heart - Bobbi Smith (jewelry on cover) 8/30

The Last Boyfriend - Nora Roberts 8/31
The Red Heart of Jade - Marjorie M. Liu 8/31

Unfortunately won't be able to finish my last book this month "Good Omens". Sorry :-)"
Don't worry Thilde, I'm pretty sure we have plenty of books to cover it. Weddings are supposed to be fun not stressful...relax. :)

so we ended up with 75 books read for Round I completing all categories, and 30 books read for Round II completing 6 categories for a total of 105 books read for this challenge.
I think there were only a couple of books that were not used in the first 2 rounds.
Thanks all!
Sorry for the late post, but my cousin brought his newborn baby boy and I get easily distracted...and spend way too much time with baby talk. :)

I'm also impressed that we were able to do 5 in each of the 15 categories :-D

YAY all that work was worth it. Thank Hina for pulling it all together.
