I'm reading my final book Sandstorm now. I'll be away for the weekend at a family reunion and won't get any reading done though I hope to finish it on Monday.

Hina, looks like you missed post #45. Category 12 is also complete.post #45 http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
I know...I keep forgetting when I had a chance to go one GR but I should do it tonight or tomorrow morning
Are we still looking for a book set during the summer? If so, I am currently reading "No Strings Attached" by Kate Angell, and it takes place during the summer.

OMG Barbara, I am so glad for you.
Hi guys, From message 38 and 39, using Barbara and Jingles book, I can almost complete a second round of category 9: friendship day. Can you guys check your unused books and see if there is a book that qualifies for the category. I need one more to finish.
I also updated all the categories we have finished...so let me know if I am missing something. I am going to see if I can put the books that are unused into another repeat category.
Is this challenge like the previous ones where as a team we have to read 75 books leaving other members to take up the slack? Or does each member have to pull their own weight?Because if needed, I can check through my books read and probably complete another category or two.

Barbara, for the challenge as a whole we need to read 75 books. We only need to have one book in each category read to satisfy the mods requirement which we already do.
40/75 is not the correct total, I probably won't update that until end of day today to see how far we have gotten.
I was just using the unused books for a repeat category because just because they are there....and no reason not to see how much books we can hit. If you think you have completed another category, let me know. I will add it.
Barbara ★ wrote: "No rush Hina. Those numbers just scared me with only 5 days to go."Exactly! I was looking at this very thing early this morning, and was wondering if we might be in trouble.
I finished category 14 so my 15 books are done. I'm still reading so I'll post the books not used so they can be applied where needed.14. Around the world:
✔1. Sandstorm - James Rollins (Oman/Asia) 8/26
✔2. Mutiny on the Bounty - John Boyne (Pitcairn Island/Oceania/Australia) 8/20
✔3. Taking Eve - Iris Johansen (Colorado/Georgia/North America) 8/10
✔4. The Ugly Duchess - Eloisa James (England/Europe) 8/13
✔5. Last Man Standing - Cindy Gerard (Sierra Leone/Africa) 8/7
OK -- I will finish Bride by Mistake which is set in the summer.Shadow of Night which has supernatural creatures and set in Europe.
I have update my post (12)
JoLene wrote: "@Barbara --- wow, sounds like your reunion was very intense experience!!"It most certainly was. When you're adopted you always wonder if it would have been better to stay with your birth parents. In this case, no way. Those poor kids had the most horrific upbringing of anyone I've ever known personally. Reminded me of Mommy Dearest only worse. Regardless of the bad, it was wonderful to finally meet the rest of my family. We have every intention of keeping in touch and making it a yearly (if not sooner) occurrence.
Hina, here is a list of the other books I read this month. Hopefully some of them can be used, if needed.Books read but not used:
USED! Clockwork Princess - Cassandra Clare (set in England) 8/2

The Snake, the Crocodile & the Dog - Elizabeth Peters (set in Egypt) 8/13
Winter Kiss - Deborah Cooke (set in Ohio) 8/14

I know it is not always an easy thing to do.
Thanks Jingles. It really wasn't as traumatic as I expected it to be but I think that's because we've talked via skype for months so we were familiar enough with each other to start with.
I finished Shadow of Night today --- not sure where it can fit.I will finish Bride by Mistake tomorrow probably and it is set during the summer (which is really the only reason to finish because it's really not very well written)
Feeling the stress of my wedding more now.Unfortunately won't be able to finish my last book this month "Good Omens". Sorry :-)
Utterly Charming - Kristine Grayson (set during summer) 8/30Capture My Heart - Bobbi Smith (jewelry on cover) 8/30
I will finish these two today. Not sure where they can fit or if they are needed. The Last Boyfriend - Nora Roberts 8/31
The Red Heart of Jade - Marjorie M. Liu 8/31

Don't worry Thilde, I'm pretty sure we have plenty of books to cover it. Weddings are supposed to be fun not stressful...relax. :)
@Thilde, I agree with Barbara --- enjoy this special time with family and friends and more importantly --- the (soon to be) new husband.
All right ladies!! Congrats for finishing up the August challenge. I have just submitted the final numbers to the Mods (Our Post 3-7)so we ended up with 75 books read for Round I completing all categories, and 30 books read for Round II completing 6 categories for a total of 105 books read for this challenge.
I think there were only a couple of books that were not used in the first 2 rounds.
Thanks all!
Sorry for the late post, but my cousin brought his newborn baby boy and I get easily distracted...and spend way too much time with baby talk. :)
Yea!!! Great job ladies....I am continually impressed by how much some of you read!!!I'm also impressed that we were able to do 5 in each of the 15 categories :-D
Hina wrote: "congrats all..we got the BAPs for the challenge"YAY all that work was worth it. Thank Hina for pulling it all together.
