Carmen ignored him for a minute but then turned towards him. "Yeah..." she mumbled.

He sighed,"Well your time of loneliness is over whether you like it or not." he said looking into her eyes.
Carmen blushed deeply as his eyes met hers. She turned and headed for the lean to.
Sam smiled to himself and laid down staring at the ceiling. He felt like he was doing a good thing.
She went to the lean to and sat down on the pile of quilts that made up her bed. She took a few deep breaths.
He felt himself starting to get tired,"Good niiight." he said cheerfully before turning on his side closing his eyes.
"Good night, Sam." she called out, changing into a too small nightgown. She frowned at it. The hem stopped well above her kneesm
He pulled his shirt off laying back down falling asleep.
She slowly came out. She saw him with his shirt off and blushed. She gently took the shirt from him and folded it, putting it gently under his head as a pillow.
He turned onto his back unconsciously grabbing her wrist pulling her toward him thinking she was a pillow.
Carmen stumbled and fell on top of him. She blushed furiously
Sam wrapped his arms around her turning onto his side again still holding her close.
Sam snapped his eyes open and looked down at her for a second before realizing that he was holding her,"Woops you're not a pillow." he said before letting her go.
Carmen blushed and scrambled up. "No, really?" she snapped.
"Sorry." he said sitting up. He rubbed the back of his neck feeling embarrassed.
Carmen tugged on the hem of her nightgown, wishing it was shorter. "Its fine." sge mumbled.
Sam gave a soft smile,"Is there anything wrong or..." he asked starting to wonder how he got a hold of her in the first place.
"no, its fine, just the fact that you yanked me down onto you." ahe said sweetly. She turned and went to the kitchen, still visible to him.
He watched her,"Well I thought you were a pillow." he said crossing his arms.
"How does a -- human --- body feel like a pillow?" she demanded, getting out a hunk of raw dear meatm
He shrugged,"You're soft like a pillow.....and I was asleep." he said tilting his head wondering what she was doing.
Carmen blushed as he mesntioned her softness. "I'm eating. Would you like something?" she asked, cutting the deer into smaller pieces. With her nails.
"Please tell me that's cooked." he said hopeful.
"No." she said. "But you cab cook it."
He got up quickly and moved over to her and took the meat out of her hand,"Go sit over there until I finish cooking this cause if I ever see you eating raw meat I will vomit." he said pointing to her then to the lean and turned starting to grill the meat.
She frowned and went to the kitchen, and walked out rating some raw rabbit.
He shook his head wondering how she hasn't gotten sick. He flipped the meat adding salts to the meat. When he finished he found a plate and put the meat on it and left the kitchen and walked over to her,"This should be better but be careful it's hot."
"I'm not eating that." she said, looking up. her lips were lightly colored with blood. "I'll get sick." as she spoke, the opening of her mouth revealed abnormally large and pointed canines. they were almost like. dogs....
"No raw meat gets people sick." he said noticing her canines. He chose to ignore it.
"Well I'm not people.' she said stubbornly, ripping the rabbit with her canines.
"Ugh please stop eating that." he said grimacing at her eating the raw meat.
"Just look away." she rolled her eyes. "I'm not going to stop eating my dinner."
He made a face and set the plate down. He took a piece of the meat he cooked and biting into it.
Carmen soon finished and wiped the blood from her lips. As she got up and turned to the kitchen to wash her hands, a deep scar in her leg showed.
Sam noticed the scar on her leg and got curious but decided not to question but ended up staring.
She turned around and saw his gaze fixed on her legs. She raised her eyebrows
He blinked and turned away quickly a light blush spread across his cheeks not believing that he was caught staring at her.
Carmen flushed lightly and went to her room. "Good night." she said quietly before the quilt swung over her.
"Good night." He said back setting the empty plate down and laying down on his side.
Carmen curled up in the midst of all of her quilts, lightly fingering a new scar on her arm.
Sam sighed closing his eyes and started to fall asleep. He started to wonder he to get out of the city again.
Carmen fell asleep, curled up like a dog.
Sam woke up the next morning and sat up remembering what had happened. He stretched still not bothering to put his shirt back on.
Carmen was already dressed in her ripped shirt and pants and was slinging a bow and arrow over her shoulder.
Sam noticed her,"Where are you heading off to?" he asked giving her a sweet smile.
"Hunting." she said shortly, tying her fluffy hair back in a ponytail.
"Have fun." he said sitting back and relaxed grabbing his shirt and pulled it on.
Carmen nodded and left, making sure the quilt was closed over her room.
He got up taking the plate he left last night and went into the kitchen cleaning everything up.
