Finished! (view spoiler)[ Wades plan was absolutely insane, and I was so nervous. I'm still shocked it even worked, that was ridiculous. My favourite thing was them all meeting each other at the end, and the fact that Aech is actually a women. That's the best way to tackle racism and sexism, and I loved it. In fact, I just loved this whole book, I'd love to read more by Cline :) (hide spoiler)]

I read it on audio while traveling but I would loved to have a hard copy for reference. All the games, songs and movies mentioned from the 80's was very nostalgic.

I really like the idea. It must have taken Cline ages to write the book! Having to reference everything correctly from movies and books and games and stuff. It's crazy!

The whole time I was listening to the book I kept thinking this would make a great move. I checked IMDB when I was finished and sure enough its in post-production Steven Spielberg is directing :)

Real world (view spoiler)[ I love how the players are so immersed in the OASIS that it feels like real life to them. That is how it is in the gaming world in real life players can get so caught up in a game, even when they need sleep someone has to take control of their game so they don't get killed. Some get so involved they end up suiciding over a game. The advice Ogden gives Wade about not forgetting the real world is so important. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

The stacks is such a bizarre idea that I would not be surprised if some one builds a caravan park/stack but i would hope its a lot more secure and easier to get from one level to the next than the ones in this book.
