Jacob smiled even more. "Well obviously. I'm not the one needing glasses."
Anna rolled her eyes. "I beg to differ," she said dryly. She snuck a glance at him, only now realizing that he was pretty handsome. Anna looked away. "What're you doing out here, anyway? Running into defenseless girls like that." She tsk'd. "Shame on you," she teased.
"I'm just so bored I couldn't think of better things to do!" Jacob finally laughed, glancing over at her. She was quite pretty. Beautiful even. "But then my fellow banter enthusiast came along. Now I'm not so bored."
Anna glanced at him. "Well, having a banter enthusiast as an acquaintance is usually fun. And so *not* boring," she said with a tiny grin c
"Maybe just a little less boring than other boring stuff." Jacob said, smirking. "That made absolutely no sense."
Anna rolled her eyes. "Please. I always make sense. I come from a family of Ravenclaws." She snorted. "Though, my family is more whacked out than I am."
Jacob raised his eyebrows. "More whacky than you? I'm having a hard time believing that." He joked.
Anna laughed. "I come from a *long* line of crazies," she said, shaking her head. "Not really. Well, there are a few odd ones in my bunch, but other than that, we're all normal." She paused, a grin tugging at her lips. "Well. Relatively, of course."
"You've got a lot of odd yet not odd people in your family then." Jacob shook his head, smiling, his hair in his eyes.
"We're just special like that," Anna said, glancing at the sky.
Jacob smiled.
'Yeah...' He thought, then shook the feeling off and glanced around.
"So are we just gonna walk around or would you like to do something?"

"Oh, I don't know. I'm quite content with the fun and interesting activity of walking," Anna said sarcastically.
"Well then, don't let me stop you." Jacob winked at her.
"I won't, thanks," Anna said, rolling her eyes.

Jacob smirked and put his hands in his pockets, walking beside her quietly.
Anna sighed, the awkward silence stretching. "So? Why are you here with me? You could be with anyone in the castle," she said dryly.
Jacob thought for a moment. "Because you're actually cool." He replied, being completely serious. He smirked slightly at her. "And I don't normally think people are."
Anna was taken aback. "I feel so special," she deadpanned, glancing at Jacob. "What about your Housemates? They're not cool enough?"
"Some of them maybe." Jacob shrugged. "But even then they get on my nerves."
Anna laughed. "Shocker. You poor thing," she cooed mockingly. "It must be so hard."
"Oh it is!" Jacob replied dramatically. "Dreadfully horrid."
Anna laughed. "Well, buck up and deal," she said.
"Well then!" Jacob raised his eyebrows at her and laughed. "You know, I was quite surprised that I could make you laugh. You don't seem like a laughing person sometimes." His arm brushed hers lightly on accident as they walked.
Anna inhaled sharply when Jacob's arm touched hers. She glanced at him. "Yeah, well. I'm usually not a laughing person. Well, I like to laugh at other people... I suppose I'm not the nicest..."
"You seem pretty nice to me, when you're not grumpy from getting detention." Jacob smiled, looking over at her. "What about you? You could be doing anything else right now and you're here walking with me."
"Hey, I didn't ask you to tag along," Anna said, glancing at him in amusement.
"But you haven't ditched me." Jacob mused, smiling. "That's something."
Anna rolled her eyes. "If I ditched you, would you leave me alone?"
"If you wanted to be alone then yes." Jacob said sincerely. He completely got wanting to be alone sometimes.
Anna fell silent. "Well, maybe I don't."
"Then yes, I will continue bugging you." He told her, giving her a small smile.
Jacob smirked. "I'm kidding. But if you don't want to be alone, anytime really, I wouldn't mind hanging out." He told her quietly.
Anna raised a brow. "Don't you know people cooler than me?"
"Like I said, everyone else, even the tolerable ones, bug me." He shrugged. "And... I'm not the greatest at making friends. So not many people like me either." Jacob admitted.
"And me? Am I only tolerable?" Anna asked jokingly.
"You're slightly more than tolerable." Jacob smirked, glancing at her.
"Oh? That's good to know. I usually send people running for the hills," Anna muttered.
"Then those people should trip on their way up." Jacob rolled his eyes.
Anna grinned. "I think you might be more than tolerable," she teased.
"Why thank you!" Jacob stopped and bowed, then continued walking, smiling.
Anna laughed again. "Uh-huh," she said, rolling her eyes. "That's probably the only compliment you're getting from me in a long time."
"I'll take it, anyways." Jacob winked, then looked around at the shops. A chilly wind blew by, and he gestured to the Three Broomsticks. "Want to go and get something?"
Anna glanced up and hesitated. "Sure," she said slowly.
"Alright then." Jacob replied.
