"Nope." Robin shook her head. She smiled at Roger, enjoying his company. Somehow, however unlikely it seemed, she'd made a good friend, she knew.

Robin felt her cheeks heat up a tiny bit and she looked down at her hands. "Um, yeah."
"Yeah. It's been a while since I've actually smiled." She said quietly.
Robin nodded slightly. She smiled again to herself at his amazed expression then looked back at her hands.
"Because of you, actually." She said and looked back up at him once her cheeks cooled. "You're the first friend I've had in a long time and... You're a really nice person. Despite your mood swings." She winked.

"First time for everything." Robin smirked.
((Whoops meant "there's a-"$$
"Not unless something actually makes you smile or be happy." She shrugged.
Robin sighed. "So was that just a random question or would you like to go to the Three Broomsticks?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.
((UGH Roger is so stubborn. Haha kidding! Hopefully Robin can get to him. I mean like become his friend. ;) ))

Robin smiled slightly and nodded. "Sure."
Robin turned and started walking, a bit ahead of Roger. She smiled again. It felt good to smile.
((Oh ok! I posted for when you get back ;) ))

Robin walked outside quickly, thankful the cool air would calm her down and stop the blushing.
"I tripped." She said, not looking at Roger.
"Just... Sorry." Robin turned and looked at him. "I overreacted." She said, the memory coming back to her.
' "but-"
"No!" Her mother yelled. "It's disrespectful! How can you live with yourself?!"
"It's not like I chose this!" She yelled back.
"Maybe you did." Her father's voice was calm, which scared Robin most.
"It's not my fault, alright?!" She snapped before they shook their heads in disgust and walked out, not speaking another word to her...'

"I'm sorry." She said and shook her head, keeping the tears back. "I gotta go." She put her bag on her shoulder and began walking away.
Robin stopped, not turning around. "Yeah?" Her voice cracked and she scolded herself mentally.
"I... Um... Just a bit embarrassing?" She knew he wouldn't believe her; she didn't even believe herself.
Robin nodded, still not turning around.

"It's not my fault." Robin repeated. "That was the last thing I said to my parents before they left me." She said quietly, looking down at the ground.
"Not your fault." She whispered, still keeping the tears back. "Thanks for listening."
"Just a friend." Robin nodded. "So you helped."
"Yeah." Robin nodded again, then looked from the ground up at Roger.
Robin smiled slightly. "That's a real smile." She said quietly.
