Year: 2000 Date: March 16 Time: 4:15 p.m. Victim: 35 year old woman, Alice Witnesses: Taylor and Abigail, siblings, George, victim's husband, and shoppers Location: in Walmart
Five year olds, Taylor and Abigail, are with their mother, Alice, and their father, George, in Walmart. A hooded figure came out of nowhere. When the figure pulled out a gun, George, protected Taylor and Abigail, while they clung to each other and screamed.
"Daddy! Do something!" Taylor screams. Her eyes, starting to get clouded with tears.
A man and woman walk up to them and comfort them. "Don't worry. Your Daddy will do something." the woman says. "Bob, help him. I think he froze."
The man, Bob, nods. He walks over to their Dad and helps. The two men, try to pull the figure away from the girls' mother, but they get thrown back.
The figured person laughs, letting them know that it's a guy. He aims at Alice and the girls, along with their father, yell. Their father yelling 'Stop!' and the girls screaming, through tears. The man aims the gun at Alice and shoots.
Taylor screams and cries harder. Abigail comforts her sister, while she, herself, is in tears. Strangers come over to find out what's going on. When they saw what happened, they comforted the family.
Their dad goes over to the girls and hug them. "I did everything I can. I'm sorry." He mumbles in their ears and hugs them.
Taylor doesn't say anything. She cries in her father's arms. Someone goes and buys something for the girls. She hands it to them.
Their father takes it for them and puts it in his pocket. He squeezes the girls gently on the shoulders.
The woman goes up to the father and gives them her prayers. "I'm sorry for your loss. I'm Bethany. Everyone calls me Beth." the woman, Beth, says. "My husband, Bob, tried helping. I am so sorry for your loss. You didn't deserve it."
George nods his head. "Thank you. I'm George by the way."
Beth, has brown hair and bright green eyes. Her lips are stained with a light pink lip gloss. "If you need any help, here's my number. I know what your daughters are going through. I lost both of my parents. One in a car crash and the other to cancer. So, I know what they're going through."
George takes the slip of paper and nods. He gets up, and tells the girls. They get up as well. Taylor, holding onto her father's waist and Abigail holding his hand, head down. He takes his hand and rubs Taylor's back.
Five years later, Taylor and Abigail are standing outside, wearing white dresses. Their father, George, is remarrying to Beth. The same Beth who comforted them five years ago at their mother's murder.
"I can't believe dad is marrying her. Can't he see what kind of a witch she is? Seriously. And she comforted us five years ago." Abigail whispers.
"I know right? What happened between then and now? Ever since we saw her for the first time since the incident, she's been nothing but mean to us. Like we had something to do with the death's of her parents. We weren't even alive then." Taylor whispers back.
Although Taylor and Abigail are sisters, they have a closer bond than sisters and best friends. When they hear two friends say that they are more than friends, that they are sisters, they look at each other and smirk.
"Seriously. She's not sweet. Or caring. She's just trouble." Abigail says. Abigail's dress is longer than Taylor's, to cover up the bruises she got from Bethany. If it wasn't for Taylor, Abigail could've been more hurt, as in paralyzed.
"And a bully. Don't forget. My arm still hurts from five months ago, from when she hit me with a baseball bat." Taylor says. She remembers that day. She was just outside with her other friends and Beth came and took Taylor by the hair and yanked her up. Behind her back, she had a baseball bat, which Taylor didn't know. Beth started yelling at her and then started hitting her. One of Taylor's friends got up and tried to stop it, but ended up getting a concussion, which she didn't survive.
Abigail and Taylor sigh. If they speak up, they'll probably get beaten up, in front of everyone. Sure, they want their dad to see her doing it, but not in public. Maybe at home or something.
"I do." George says. His usually brown a little messy hair, is back, out of his face with hair gel. In a suit, the girls barely recognize him, and he's their father!
"You may now kiss the bride." the person in charge says.
Taylor and Abigail look at the ground with their eyes when he says that. Neither want to see them kiss.
George leans down, arms around Beth, and kisses her. Beth puts her arms around George's shoulder's, goes up on the balls of her feet to kiss him back.
