I know we actually find out who sent him later on in the book, but at this point I was actually thinking it might have been more of the angelic side so that Garrett could get the full picture of what was going on.
Uh... since I've read the whole book I'll abstain from commenting this one. I have a question for the end though, can I ask it when we are discussing that chapter? :)

I honestly thought or maybe hoped for some angelic intervention. Just because I wanted something happening on that front other then them (angels) gossiping, like a bunch of teenagers. Though when I got to that part, I face palmed myself. That made interesting sense.
As of right now (because I actually haven't gotten to the part of who actually sent him) I am leaning towards either Reyes or Satan. Reason for Reyes being because he and Swopes don't get along, Swopes was a non-believer and still kind of is, and maybe Reyes wanted to show Swopes the light so to speak to get him to understand that he (Reyes) isn't all that bad. My reason for thinking Satan makes more sense. Perhaps he is trying to "recruit" someone close to Charley. What better way to access her than by manipulating someone close to her?
At first I really had no idea. But having found out, I was surprised. I guess I didn't really think about it.
I'm with you Brandy- I honestly didn't think about the "who" of sending Swopes to hell. But after finding out who did, I was both surprised, and not. Makes sense, but still a little weirded out about it...

I don't believe the "old" Swopes would have ever attempted what he did. I kind of miss the old Swopes, he's dark and moody now. But I do like what he retrieved and I'm just glad it's no longer in his possession (I think).
I miss the old Swopes as well, I enjoyed the witty replies and how fun he used to be. He became tired all the time and very dark, but I suppose that happens when you're tortured. Anyway, that was the best part of that tiny interview to Swopes on some blog promoting the book. He was back to his old funny self! If you haven't read it, you'll be happier by knowing old Swopes is still inside him ;)
I totally missed that, Ines! But yeah, I did miss the old witty, snarky, and sexual-innuendo-spouting Swopes! I am interested in this other side though, has lots of potential!
