Can someone help me with abilities? It's hard to think of abilities that I like that are not in fact supernatural. :P Plus I'm pretty sure all the ones I've come across or thought of are too powerful. :P

Precognitive Painting
This is the power to be able to paint the future.
This power as seen so far appears limited in a number of ways:
• The possessor must enter a trance-like state to use their ability.
• The possessor has no control over what events they see, though they seem invariably to be events that are significant in some way.
• The vision contains only visual information, not sound.
• They only see events as an instant in time from a single viewpoint, and have no context for what they see. As such, they are often unable to interpret the images they have created until after the predicted event has occurred.

Oh, I forgot to get my heightened ability accepted beforehand but mine is problem solving.

As long as you don't powerplay this, it should be fine! Make sure the people have to be at least unaware of what she's doing, because it's pretty much physically impossible to put someone into hypnosis if they resist too much. Or you could try, but they become physically ill and that often breaks the hypnosis.

Okay so for Emory...I don't know what to call this, but her skin is super invincible [except obviously not], and it takes a lot to cut through her skin. Of course there's a limit to how impermeable she is, and obviously if you cut her arm off it wouldn't regrow and would just flail away. xD I don't know I'm so lost when it comes to this. :I
Sarah, can I take the other hypnosis spot, or are you making two characters with it?
Sure, but I won't be able to make him until I get home, which is like sunday.
That's what I was thinking, I'm debating between making him a player, or making him the quiet one.

First things first, decide what kind of area you want to focus on. You can see the categories at the start of this topic, so check them out.
Consider your character's personality. What kind of natural abilities or preferences does she have that could be amplified to create something more-than-human?
Start with something like that, and I'll be more than happy to help you refine the ability until it works.
That goes for everyone, by the way! :)
Oh I also forget to ask. How's advanced flexibility?
You could say she is double jointed as a reason, and a downfall would be that she has bad shoulders or hips, etc

Just make sure that your character's hypnosis is different to Sarah's. They both should be fairly different, but with the same center of the hypnosis.

Animal reading
She is able to tell the feeling and thoughts of animals, just by their basic body language and habits. She can tell what the animal is thinking by its actions based on the animal and its situation, and also knows how to display her own emotion to the animal through body language that the animal will understand.
Downfall: She is extremely antisocial to people, however, and can't read human emotions well, even when they are obvious
Healing factor
An enhanced immune system and cell buildup that allows wounds, even serious ones to be healed faster than a normal humans, and heal better, making them unseeable once fully healed.
Downfall:Feels pain from scars even after being healed
Enhanced sight Better sight than an average human, as well as clearer, allowing the holder to notice details in things more. Also having the ability to see farther than average, the holder can also see things as if they are in slow motion due to their advanced eyes, but only when adrenaline is high can this feature be used.
Downfall:Bad hearing
Anhidrosis The inability to feel pain. It affects less than .1% of the population. He also cannot feel temperatures unless it is extreme. He can still feel things, he has the sensation of touch, and all of his other senses are normal, but he cannot feel any degree of pain. He is able to touch scalding hot water with no reaction, and even if he breaks a bone he feels it. This has many faults to is as well. There have been times when he bit though his tongue while eating, burnt himself by accident multiple times and broken bones but not realized until possibly weeks later.
Downfall: Can never tell if seriously harmed or injured, can't feel if dying.

Yeah, this is just a little bit too magical for this group, sorry.
However, if you edited it somehow it could probably work? Say, if it became "the ability to plan and see clearly possible sequences of events, almost like predicting the future" or something that would definitely work!
To make it a little different from the precognition ability already claimed, you could keep the 'painting aspect of the ability. Say, the way s/he sees these possible sequences of events is in a very visual format, like a painted web or series of imaginary clips in their mind.

My powers revised:Hypnosis: MY character has the ability to put people in a trance, and thus be able to control their actions for a short period of time. He can put people under with his eyes after years of practice, meaning that if you meet his eyes, he can put you 'under his spell'. People with strong minds can break this hypnosis, but they will find themselves feeling extremely dizzy and lightheaded for a period of about an hour.

Emotional Manipulation: This means that my character can make the people around them feel desired things. This is caused by frequencies made by various stringed instruments and their affects on not only the inner ear, but the brain. These frequencies are most effective when used to make people angry or soothed.

Poetic Paranoia: A form of schizophrenia that is caused by post traumatic stress disorder. My character sees words and names or short phrases floating in the air around her. This words often form a sort of prophecy, a glance into what is going on around her or in the near future.

Just be sure to stress she's simply read their movements etc., bla bla not magic bla.
Healing factor is approved!
Be careful not to powerplay this, mind you. With great healing comes great responsibility.
Enhanced sight is accepted!
This one kind of crosses over between physical and mental abilities, since for them to see things in 'slow motion' that would mean the 'sight' part of her brain is super developed. Neat!!
Anhidrosis is accepted, but I was wondering if this only applies to his skin, or if his internal organs are unable to feel pain too? Are there no nerves anywhere on his body, or is it just an external thing?

Hypnosis is approved. I'm glad you made sure to mention how people resisting the hypnotism can break it if they try hard enough. Again, please be careful about powerplaying this! Make sure the other person knows what's going on so they can react accordingly. Love the ability, though!
Emotional manipulation is pretty much approved, although the science-y bit (although I love that it's in there) is a bit shaky. Emotions are caused by hormones/ chemicals being released in the body, not so much any stimulation from sound. Unless you mean these sounds trigger a signal in the brain that then produce the chemicals required in the brain?
Poetic Paranoia is definitely approved, that has to be one of my very favourites!! :D

Anhidrosis Is just undeveloped nerves on the Outside, meaning that if he was really badly injured he would feel it, just not as much as a normal human would, it would still really hurt though ;)If this isn't okay I'll modify it a bit though :)

Also might I ask where all these ideas come from? They're all so creative. :)
*Changing Appearance:* My character can change her and others physical appearance, with a bottle of hair dye, scissors, and some make-up, she can make you look completely different. Downside: It does wear off, and after a while of this, she does get tired.

You could say she's an expert at changing her and other's appearances though- but using materials such as hair dye, make-up and a pair of scissors for the hair.
See how this is almost more of a highly developed skill than a power?

I still have a girl that I should make, but I'm not sure what ability I'll give her. Has to be something exciting. :)
Maybe she has an abnormally amazing endurance skill and can just run forever.
