@ Gracie: The first one should be fine, just be sure to specify what sort of languages your character speaks and specifically what that ability means. Do they pick up languages really easily? Have they just learned a lot in their time and find it super fun? Whatever you want.
Again with technological skills, be pretty specific. 'Technology' is a super broad area and we don't want too many overlaps in abilities. Are they great at hacking? Graphic designing? Can they fix machines really well? Is their speciality in programming- can they memorise huge lengths of code?
You guessed it, same thing goes with enhanced physical abilities. Be more specific than that, and remember nothing too extravagant. Maybe they're just very fit and can run for much longer than the average human. Use you imagination!
@ Kirstin: First think about what category you want it to fall in first- physical, emotional or mental? The abilities you give your character should naturally correspond with their personality in some way so try considering that! :)

As Ser said, make sure that you specify exactly what your character's ability involves. We all should be specific, otherwise there will be a great deal of overlap.

@ Gracie: That's fine, it'd just be handier if everyone specified their ability here so it's much easier to keep track of who's good at what and such. Having more than 2 people with 'physical' abilities is a-ok, it's just we don't want a heap of people who are just good at everything physical or just super smart about everything. It'd be unrealistic and it's much more fun to mix things up a little, right? ;)

Okay, so there can be more than two people who fall beneath the umbrella topic, however, there cannot be more than two people who possess exactly the same ability. So there may be, for example, six character who fall beneath "Advanced Technological Skills" however, it may be that we have, let's say two people who are fab at hacking, we could have another who is great at fixing machines and another two who are particularly gifted with graphic designing and another who may specialise in programming.
I'm thinking we have a maximum of six characters per field, but no more than two in that field possessing exactly the same skills.
Does that make any sense?

Just be sure to stress it's not a supernatural thing, but more of a silver tongue. They're just good at manipulating people and their beliefs etc., but can't wave a wand and have someone think they're fab.

Okay. I have finally come up with a few, complete with their down sides...just because I feel they should have some haha! I don't really know how to classify them though.1. Can read micro-expressions on peoples' face, thereby practically making her a human lie detector. Downside: (view spoiler)

Ri-Ri can i claim the ability of persuasion?Persuasion~ Cameron has quite the silver tongue. He can persuade you to do and or believe almost anything. He can get himself out of almost anything, though he doesn't use it for anything bad. What allows him to do so is mostly because of his appearance and personality.
Could I claim a creative skill? Expert Escapologist: Escapology is the practice of escaping from restraints or other traps. Escapologists (also classified as escape artists) escape from handcuffs, straitjackets, cages, coffins, steel boxes, barrels, bags, burning buildings, fish-tanks and other perils, often in combination. Problem Solving~ Kylah knows her way out of sticky situations, though most of her decisions are made by logic. It's quite easy for her to think of the logical thing to do, so you may want to have her on your side if you ever get stuck in something.Excelled Body Strength~ Not to be arrogant but Xavier has quite the body. Not to mention that he could bash your face in quite easily. His strength is beyond a normal teenager's strength, though thats what he gets for overly lifting.

The same thing goes for body strength as persuasion- we're able to have at least 2 of the same ability so you are technically allowed to have it. However, you can always edit it a little or add your own little twist? Just an idea. Let me know which you choose.

Another thing you could add to this is that it tires people with photographic memories out a little each time they recall a very specific picture. That'd make it tie in nicely with real life!

Eg. In each broad category, there are sub-categories that relate to the one topic. For example, beneath "Advanced Mental Abilities", there are the people who specialise in the sub-categories of "Technological Skills", "Enhanced Memory" and "Languages" among others that will be added when people choose abilities. However, beneath the sub-categories, there can only be four people who specialise in skills related to that category.
The abilities listed below are simply those that people have claimed things from so far. More sub-categories can be added upon request.
Any questions regarding the matter may be asked below, or in the questions thread.
Finally, when making your characters, you must be very specific about their abilities. A short sentence must be written on their particular skills and I will add it to the list beside your name.

This is caused by frequencies made by various stringed instruments and their affects on not only the inner ear, but the brain. These frequencies are most effective when used to make people angry or soothed. But, the vibrations if used incorrectly, can cause bleeding of the ear, nose, or eyes. It can cause migraine headaches, or fainting spells. The vibration affect the musician as well as the listeners, unless earplugs are worn.

◉ Jojo -- Better sight than an average human, as well as clearer, allowing the holder to notice details in things more. Also having the ability to see farther than average, the holder can also see things as if they are in slow motion due to their advanced eyes, but only when adrenaline is high can this feature be used. A downfall of this ability, however, is bad hearing.
Healing Factor
◉ Jojo -- An enhanced immune system and cell buildup that allows wounds, even serious ones to be healed faster than a normal humans, and heal better, making them unseeable once fully healed. But, they feel pain from scars even after being healed.
Anhidrosis
◉ Jojo -- The inability to feel pain. It affects less than .1% of the population. He also cannot feel temperatures unless it is extreme. He can still feel things, he has the sensation of touch, and all of his other senses are normal, but he cannot feel any degree of pain. He is able to touch scalding hot water with no reaction, and even if he breaks a bone he feels it. This has many faults to is as well. There have been times when he bit though his tongue while eating, burnt himself by accident multiple times and broken bones but not realized until possibly weeks later. But he cannot tell if seriously harmed or injured, and would not know if he was dying.
Human Echolocation
◉ Melissa -- By actively creating sounds, people trained to orientate with echolocation can interpret the sound waves reflected by nearby objects and accurately identify their location,size, and even physical features. Eyesight is often weakened as either a result of relying on echolocation too much or is a precursor to learning it.

✢ Aria -- Breccan is able to remember every tiny detail of his life thus far as clearly as if he were watching it unfold in a film. He easily memorises everything, therefore his mind is incredibly crowded. However, remembering sometimes makes him feel tired. He has learnt to push everything to the back of his mind and pry each memory, fact, name and song lyric away when he needs it.
✢ Lennon -- When a person has photographic memory or total recall this is called eidetic memory. It is the ability to recall sounds, images, or objects from one’s memory with extreme accuracy. But her memory is not selective, meaning Briony cannot forget traumatic experiences or any unpleasant memories. Whenever recalling a very specific memory, Briony will become tired out.

Hypnosis
✢ Sarah -- Nadia has the ability to put people into a subconscious state without any opposition. She doesn’t need to use the typical induction practice, rather she can put people under without them even being aware she’s doing it.However, most people strongly dislike being put under without consent.
✢ Megan -- Character has the ability to put people in a trance, and thus be able to control their actions for a short period of time. He can put people under with his eyes after years of practice, meaning that if you meet his eyes, he can put you 'under his spell'. People with strong minds can break this hypnosis, but they will find themselves feeling extremely dizzy and lightheaded for a period of about an hour. However, people are extremely opposed to being put under, and he cannot always control when he puts people under. He sometimes does it without meaning to, so he believes they are in control, when he is really controlling them. If he tries to control people for longer than a half hour, he also becomes physically ill.
Animal Reading
✢ Jojo -- She is able to tell the feeling and thoughts of animals, just by their basic body language and habits. She can tell what the animal is thinking by its actions based on the animal and its situation, and also knows how to display her own emotion to the animal through body language that the animal will understand. However, she is extremely antisocial to people, however, and can't read human emotions well, even when they are obvious.
Poetic Paranoia
✢ Megan -- A form of schizophrenia that is caused by post traumatic stress disorder. Character sees words and names or short phrases floating in the air around her. This words often form a sort of prophecy, a glance into what is going on around her or in the near future. The downside to this is that she is clinically insane, and cannot tell reality from paranoid delusions. The words or visions cannot be shut off without heavy medication, and are very rarely completely accurate. This means that she often gets herself into tricky situations.
