John (johnred) So Kvothe is officially getting his Harry Potter on ;)
It took me a minute to remember where I had heard of "The Mating Habits of the Common Draccus" -- it's the book that Chronicler wrote. That gave me a chuckle.

Haha, I totally didn't think that too - I love all this magical school stuff ;)

Jennifer (desdinova) I am blazing thru this book and am on chapter 52. And I just found out book 3 isn't scheduled until 2014. I am going off to cry now.

I can see the comparisons to Harry Potter. Mind you, when I read those, it reminded me of the X-Men a bit, so these things echo.

At any rate, I am really enjoying this book. It's taking me by surprise, honestly. It's been a while since I read a book I enjoyed this much.

I was carrying it at my last writers' group meeting, and several of them all remarked on it, each of them also saying how much they liked it.

I'd never heard of this book till it was picked for this month, and I'm grateful it was selected. I just finished Chapter 56, which leaves me with a dilema. On the one hand, I'd love to plow ahead, work permitting. On the other, I have several short story submissions due the month and some novel revisions to do. Tough choice.

So the release date has just been pushed "hesitantly to late 2015-2016"

*sigh*

Well, it's better than not knowing at all. A solid date would be great though. Rothfuss is the only author whose books I preorder so as soon as they put out a real date it goes straight to my calendar.

Kevin Late 2015 would be amazing. I'll be queuing up

With the next Gentleman Bastard confirmed for this year (theres even cover art out) and if this and Winds of Winter made it out it would be an insanely good end to the year. Alas I don't think all three will surface.

Andrew Hm. I have just added The Lies of Locke Lamora to my To-Read List :)

I'm pretty sure Winds of Winter has been confirmed for 2016 instead of 2015 :(

Christina Pilkington | 163 comments I just finished The Name of the Wind this morning. It was incredible! I never have time to read for more than a half hour at a time, so it was really frustrating having to read this book in chunks. I wish I would have had a whole Saturday set aside to inhale the whole thing! (That probably won't happen for at least 10 more years, though, when the kids will let me do that!)

I'm starting Wise Man's Fear today and hoping I can finish it before the end of the month.
