Libertad and i are in the process of creating some promotional items to use as gift/giveaways for the release of our first book Sterling Wayfairer and "The Mark of Noba."
Since it deals with different races and the lot, we wanted to use them as tools to help readers not use their default of "white" to envision the characters.
Wanted to know if anyone else had considered this. It reminds me a little of creating a Pinterest board, just to the next level :)
That sounds cool, are you thinking of writing a collection of short back stories? Or art? That can be helpful, especially when the world is built from scratch. For me personally as a reader, I tend to skim over companion books/appendixes until I've read the main story. Then I decide if I want to learn more.
