First of all, I wanted to thank all of our members who have played a major role in The Page Turners, contributing to the group's success. We could not have reached 1,000 members without you. However, as the group continues to grow, it must also continue to improve. There are currently three Staffers within the group, and 1,000 of you. Therefore, we have decided that it is time to promote 1-2 members to the position of Moderator. If you are interested in applying for the job, please continue reading.
Contrary to popular belief, the role of a Moderator is not to police the group, constantly harassing members for placing a toe out of line. That would result in quite a few fuming members, to say the least. Granted, moderators are expected to enforce group rules, resolve disputes, etc. Most importantly, however, moderators must be active participants within the group, constantly joining discussions, telling others about that awful book they just finished, and congratulating the member that manages to read the dictionary from cover to cover.
In order to select the candidate that is best-suited to the position and will aid the group in the long run, we have decided to hold interviews with any group member who is interested in applying. These interviews will take place in a private, online chat room. The current moderators and candidate will be the only ones present, and the information conveyed will not be visible by any other group member.
If you would like to apply, please view the list of dates and times below. These are the times, offered by the moderators, during which interviews will be held.
Note: All of the dates and times that are supplied reflect the Eastern Time Zone. If you do not live in the Eastern Time Zone, please keep in mind that there is a time difference.

Only one candidate may be interviewed during each date and time. Therefore, interview times are selected on a first come, first serve basis. Consequently, the first person to apply for the position may choose any of the interview times above. After that person selects his/her interview time, no other applicants may select that same time.
