Heather H. On page 101 of “Defending Jacob” by William Landay it says to the effect….

“To keep it all siloed up inside”

I Love this word and phrase! However, my spell check will not allow me the word siloed but the book does and the author does & the publisher does…so writers weigh in! Should I add it to my Microsoft dictionary?

Thanks for your time....! :)

☯Emily Ginder Yes, the definition is in several on-line dictionaries.

Jeni I've read this phrase a few different times and I have a hard time with it. I readily confess this could potentially be just me, but I stumble on it when I've seen it.

I understand the visualization it presents and find it vivid and compelling, but it's not a phrase I've heard anyone say out loud before. Don't let that keep you from using it, though! :-)
