but the cover of the edition I have, same ISBN and remaining data is that I requested, not that from amazon ... so, should I duplicate the record with another cover?

If you have an edition with the same ISBN but an alternate cover, then we need to create an alternate cover edition:

However, we can't add a cover image from a bookseller site (with the sole exception of Amazon). Here is a list of acceptable sources for covers:

Alternatively, you could scan in a photo of your own copy, and we can add that as a cover image to an alternate cover edition.
