Ebooks on NetGalley/Edelweiss

Good luck Tatiana ☺ I have loads pending but I think I'm going to get declined because I'm not in the US.

If you go to the page where the review copies are listed -

On the left hand side, under the tabs you'll see three smaller tabs - 'titles' 'downloads' 'requests'
click on requests, and it will bring you to a page with a list of all your requests, and information on whether they have been approved/declined/ or still pending ☺

The only way I've found to edit details is to change them in the box that pops up when you request a title or submit a review. I haven't found another way!
You're right about it not being user friendly either, and unlike Netgalley there's no way to know which publishers can only approve requests from US citizens or anything - believe me I've tried!
The only way I've found to get accepted more on edelweiss is to keep up to date with reviews. WhenI have 20 outstanding, I get no new review copies. If I can get it down to 2 outstanding, then I get some requests approved. There really is no way that I've found to work out what publishers want or who they're likely to approve. it kinda sucks.

What do you mean by 20 outstanding? Like, reviews pending, waiting to be written?
Thanks for your help Sarah!
Yes - reviews not yet submitted. I've been getting through them, but I still have 10 outstanding, so I'm not expecting any approvals any time soon!

It is a website where you an request books that haven't come out yet in exchange for a review. They are free but it does cost a review. I am super bad at explaining Edelweiss so hopefully someone else can help you!

Here's the link for edelweiss: http://edelweiss.abovethetreeline.com/
I think you have to create an account and get it approved before you can look at which titles they have available to request ☺

I requested it, but I doubt I'll get it :(
So excited for this one -
! On Netgalley for UK and Austalia - https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/sho...

I got it, but they didn't respond to me until after the book had already come out and I had already purchased a physical copy. Oh well!

You need to put a link to your goodreads profile, but in your netgalley profile you should try to sell yourself as a reviewer - let them know how many books you have so far reviewed, how many followers you have on goodreads/twitter/your blog/facebook etc.and anything else that may convince a publisher to let you read their book ☺

I just got it, Sarah! Did you get it too?

Awesome! What book did you get?

That's sounds good! Lucky you! I am trying to read a few "read now"s before requesting something! :)

I've read some really good 'read now' books, and some really bad ones.
&
were both 'read now' and I loved both of them ☺
was pretty good too ☺
