I don't really do history.

I don't really do history.

I'm on a requesting ban! I have way too many to get through.

I don't mind some historical novels, I just don't know that much history to know how acurate some of them are.

I'm not sure if you already discussed this but,
What is up with that "I wish for it" option?
I tought it is a button you click because you wish you had an option to request it.
I mean, for weaks I clicked on that for so many books I don't even know the number.
Today I got two emails that wishes do come true and I was randomly selected for those two titles.
So I really don't understand, do publishers look at our profiles and statictics or do they really randomly pick reviewers?
Do you get those emails "wishes do come true" and if yes, how often do they come true?
I mean, I am glad I got approved, don't get me wrong, but at this point I don't even know what I wished for...
I think previously it was just a way for publishers to get an idea of how many people were interested in a book. last week netgalley sent out an email saying that some wishes would be randomly granted in the weeks leading up to christmas though ☺

I think my profile sucks by new standards.
How about you guys?
Btw, I am going to my sister's for the weekend and she'll help me create a book blog so I'll finally have one.
Maybe then sth will change.

I'm no longer using NetGalley to find new books. I'm using to request books I already have on my TBR list, so I haven't been requesting a lot from them

When it's a book you really want, it's sometimes hard to not keep checking!
Which one was it? :)

I don't have Edelweiss and I don't know how to use it but am willing to learn if there's a slice chance I could get appreoved (although I think that publisher is hard to get, am I right? ).

lol I got super excited to see that one too. I'm pretty hopeful that we will get it since its published by st.martins press and they are usually pretty generous with their arcs.

I haven't read that series in ages but i remember enjoying it. I think I only read the first 3

@Tati - Well, I loathe (see what I did there!) the Princess Diaries series so I don't really care, if I'm being brutally honest., but that's not good for the fans.

I agree with you. I couldn't even finish it which is very sad because I adored Princess Diaries back in the days.
