Tati I had 10, and now I'm up to 16... So many great books keep showing up there, though

Elizabeth Emily Browne (snakesandladderrs) | 2186 comments A while back I requested the selection, the elite and the one but for some reason I received the selection and the others still say request pending :(

My books disappeared too and I don't know what to do!

Kim at Divergent Gryffindor (divergentgryffindor23) | 677 comments Madly (Potion, #1) by Amy Alward now on Edelweiss :)

message 2361: by Tati (new)

Tati Anyone else having issues with NetGalley?

message 2362: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments I don't use it much anymore so no, not really. They've redesigned it again though, haven't they?

message 2363: by Elizabeth Emily (new)

Elizabeth Emily Browne (snakesandladderrs) | 2186 comments Yeah they have redesigned it, I really like it though actually

message 2364: by rachel, x (new)

rachel, x (typedtruths) | 8401 comments I haven't really had the chance to check it out properly. It seems every time I go back on that site they've change or added something else! :)

message 2365: by Tati (new)

Tati thing is, the recently added feature is not working for me

message 2366: by Dory (new)

Dory (fishthatreads) I contacted them since i was having issues with Error 500. They were redesigning and should be better now. When i was having problems the design kept switching back and forth.

message 2367: by Dory (new)

Dory (fishthatreads) Anyone know all that they added?

message 2368: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) | 3057 comments wait whats new? i dont see anything different

message 2369: by Tati (new)

Tati they changed the layout of the categories, now each of the categories is broken down into recently added and most requested

message 2370: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90951 comments Mod
Are you clicking the right bit Tatiana? I was stuck too, then I realised that instead of clicking 'recently added' like you used to, you have to click the little bit on the far right which says 'see all' - is that what you're stuck with?

message 2371: by Tati (new)

Tati gosh, hadn't even noticed that button, it's so tiny

message 2372: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90951 comments Mod
It's really tiny! It took me ages to work it out!

message 2373: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Sarah wrote: "It's really tiny! It took me ages to work it out!"

Took me a while too! Bloody annoying change!

message 2374: by Tati (new)

Tati And why don't they send an e-mail or whatever explaining the changes??

message 2375: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90951 comments Mod
I kept clicking the 'recently added' - and of course it did nothing!

message 2376: by Dory (new)

Dory (fishthatreads) @Tati I wish more websites would do that, it would be amazing to know the updates once they are up.

message 2377: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I was doing so good, and even though my rating had dropped to 78%, I still think I was doing okay. Then today happened.... 7 pending requests and 2 'read now'..... Oops? :D

message 2378: by Tati (new)

Tati I know how you feel... I'm almost falling below 80%

message 2379: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments It's all fun and games. That's what I keep telling myself anyway lol

I have a problem with the request button too. I keep desperately trying to get my 'shelf' on netgalley to less than 20, but it keeps running away from me.

message 2381: by Melek (last edited Jun 10, 2015 07:45AM) (new)

Melek (chaissar) I think that's called "the reviewer's remorse". Looks like it works the same way for all of us. I had only four more books to reach that %100 mark, then I took one glance at the new stuff... now it looks like I'll never reach that mark.

message 2382: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments I haven't been on netgalley lately for once lol

message 2383: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments I just got approved to read Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon I am so excited!!!

I had that ambition as well when my ratio was 94%! It'll never happen lol

message 2385: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments How do you guys get your approval rating up so high?

message 2386: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90951 comments Mod
You just have to keep reading, and reading, and reading, and then reading a bit more, and eventually you get that ratio up ☺

message 2387: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments hahaha okay!

message 2388: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) | 3057 comments So i finished my first ARC on edelweiss and have no idea how to post it

message 2389: by Katie (new)

Katie There are so many good books on Netgalley now! I haven't requested any in awhile and was down to 2 books left, but now I'm going to have a ton if I'm accepted for them. Can't stop requesting!

message 2390: by Katie (new)

Katie Tayla wrote: "So i finished my first ARC on edelweiss and have no idea how to post it"

Tayla, you have to go onto the book's page. By the cover, under the other info. is a yellow box that says "Your review" and "Note" and if you click the "Your review" it lets you type it :) Then you have to check the 'send to publisher' box (not sure why it doesn't do that automatically!)

message 2391: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) | 3057 comments alrighty thank you!!!

message 2392: by Dragon Bookworm (new)

Dragon Bookworm | 71 comments hi guys,
quick question. when a publisher declines your request for a book and they made that mistake can they take the decline away and accept your request for the said book?

message 2393: by Tati (new)

Tati I think so. On Edelweiss, I don't know how it works. On NetGalley, they usually send you an invitation to access that title, I've had something similar happen to me once

message 2394: by Dragon Bookworm (new)

Dragon Bookworm | 71 comments it just happen to me they emailed saying it was available but I clicked on the link and it says this " The publisher of this title has not approved your email address to view this title. Request the title, or learn more"

message 2395: by Tati (new)

Tati Who e-mailed you? The publisher or NetGalley?

message 2396: by Dragon Bookworm (new)

Dragon Bookworm | 71 comments the publisher they said they accepted the request yet when i log into netgalley its publisher has not approved the title

message 2397: by Tati (new)

Tati Then you should e-mail the publisher, if e-mail is allowed. If not, e-mail NetGalley

message 2398: by Dragon Bookworm (new)

Dragon Bookworm | 71 comments yeah i think i may have to. but if that doesn't work then its okay.

message 2399: by Dana (new)
