Rose was out back doing laps in her pool, practicing for fall. She was almost finished.
Logan was in his backyard playing football with 6 brothers and sister"go long!" Logan screamed to his older brother Marcus who jumped for the ball but missed it. Logan watched as the ball flew over the fence towards the neighbors pool.
The ball hit Rose directly in the head. She got out and grabbed it. "Watch where you throw!" She yelled, and threw it back.
"sorry" Logan replied with a little laugh and a cute smile. He caught the ball and tossed it back to Marcus.
She smirked back at him and went back to swimming.
Logan continued to play football with his brothers. At 5:00p.m Logan left for his shift at home shifters physically moving cement bags and any other objects that come from the transport trucks to the back storage.
Her mom sent her to go get some fresh grass from the store so she made her way over.
When Logan saw rose walk into the hardware store his heart skipped a beat "hi" logan said after he approached her.
She looked at him. "Hi. You're the kid from next door right?" She asked him. She thought he was familiar.
"yeah, I'm logan" he replied then held out his hand for her to shake it.
She shook it. "Well do you have grass and know anyone who can put it in?" She asked him.
"there is artificial grass in aisle four and we can put it in for you" he said slipping his hand into his front pocket.
She smiled. "That sounds perfect." She said to him.
The next day Logan was in front of Roses house shirtless and had sweat dripping from his forehead because it was such a hot day. Logan placed the artificial grass into place one after the other "their yard is freakin big, this will take forever" he thought to him self.
She looked out her window and saw him, biting her lip. He looked really good without a shirt. She went down to make some lemonade.
Logan saw her looking out the window at him from the corner of his eye "she's was totally just checking me out" he said to him self with a little smile.
She made the lemonade and brought it out. "Do you want some lemonade?" She asked him casually.
Logan looked up "sure"he replied as he stood up
Logan reached out and took the glass "thanks" he said then took a big sip of the lemonade.
((skip foreword)) When Logan finished placing down the grass he went to the backyard and leaned on the fence "what you doing?" he asked rose who sitting on a stool and looking at the freshly planted garden that was behind the pool
She turned and looked at him. "Oh, just painting." She said to him with a smile.
"your really good at painting" he replied smiling softly at her
She blushed. "I'm okay." She said to him.
"what are you talking about your a fantastic artist and this is coming from a guy who can't even draw a stick figure without screwing up" he said with a soft laugh
She blushed and laughed. "I guess. Wanna see something?" She asked him.
"sure" he replied standing up straight
Logan followed rose into her house it was huge on the inside
She led him up to her room, where there were paintings everywhere.
Logan's jaw dropped at her amazing paintings "is that my house?" he asked pointing to a painting of a brick wall that had vines growing up it and a bed of flowers underneath it.
She blushed softly. "Yeah. I was bored and I thought the vines were pretty." She told him.
"well thanks I guess" he said with a soft chuckle
"and you painted all of these?" he said examining every painting that was in her bedroom
"you truly are an amazing artist" he said as he sat down on the edge of her bed.
She blushed. "I guess. Thanks." She told him.
" I should probably get going" Logan said as he stood up and turned towards the door but tripped over her rug that was by her bed and fell flat on the hardwood floor
"Oh my god! Are you okay?" She asked, and bent down to help him up, falling on top of him.
Logan was laughing so hard he couldn't he catch his breath but when rose fell on top of him, he just smiled and then felt embarrassed because he knew that he was hard at the sight of her body being so close to his
She blushed. "I'm so sorry!" She said, and then started laughing.
"what are you sorry for" he replied as he started to laugh and he thought to himself how pretty she looked when she laughed
"For falling on you!" She exclaimed, smiling happily and just giggling.
