and for the longest time wanting to start a reading/writing, etc group of some sort in the area I live in, I started a private GR group called "Coastal Chicks" this afternoon hoping to get some of the local gals from around here to first connect online via GR and then maybe down the road start meeting in person. If it works out, great! If not, I won't be disappointed because I tried.
