Yeah, seems most of his potential dialogue is stolen by Jacob after he transforms.
That's true. Emmett was supposed to be the jokester, but if you have two jokesters in one place. One of them reverts to silence. Trust me, I know. I call it the "class clown dynamic".

I've been known to clown around. Plus, doesn't it make sense? When it comes to professionals (comedians) they never have two of them together unless it's to bash each other. In comes the class clown dynamic.
What about the new movie Funny People? It is directly attacking your theory. Also, a new film Grown Ups.
Ah ha! But those are films, not real life. And no one but the clowns can notice the true dynamic at work. They all look like comedic team, but there is nothing more frustrating than to not be the center of attention.
Although, I will admit the dynamic doesn't span to everyone. A lot of people do make it work. But some also do this way as well.

Charlie.I think he'd be the most compatable with me AND he's single! Possibly the only one too. We both like a quiet life and his discription is really very sweet. We both can't dance, Well I can't even walk without falling on my face.. but Oh well. However, it could be possibly a little weird because I would be younger than his daughter.
Well Charlie does get taken in Breaking Dawn. By Sue Clearwater. Although, I thought that was odd. Because Henry had only been dead, what? A few months.
