Sara | 1 comments Hello!!! Greetings from the Land of Enchantment -- Albuquerque, New Mexico :-) I was wrapping up "The Snow Child" today when I was out shopping and almost picked up a copy of "Beautiful Ruins"...and thought I better wait until I was finished with TSC. Came to Goodreads to add TSC, to my "read shelf" and saw this group had "Beautiful Ruins" on their list! I've never done an online book club before....this could be interesting! I'm looking forward to being a part of the group!

Hey y'all. My name is Shelly. I work as an administrator in a suburban junior high school in Utah. My passion for reading, sharing, and talking about books can be summed up by the phrase . . . so many books, so little time! My tastes in literature are eclectic which does not mean that I will read anything, rather I try to select the best of various genres and writing styles.
I just finished, and utterly enjoyed reading Beautiful Ruins. My suggestion for the group's next reading is Philipp Meyer's The Son LP.

Karen | 1 comments Hello - I'm Karen. Moderation and me have never gotten along very well. My relationship with reading is a good example of that. For most of my life I regarded reading as a chore and had very little interest in reading-for-pleasure, so I didn't. Ever. But a switch flipped a little more than a year - and about 130 books - ago. I tended to read mostly romance at first but promised myself this year to expand my comfort zone, which now includes mystery/thrillers (Gretchen Lowell series), fantasy (The Premonition and Mortal Instruments series), family saga (And the Mountains Echoed). I'm excited to see what literary worlds open up to me via this group. Thanks!

Millari | 1 comments Hi, my name is Michelle and I'm pleased to have found this group and hope it'll be a great source of new reads I wouldn't have found otherwise. While I have a busy life and reading is sometimes a struggle to fit in, I love discovering new books and authors, and love reading as my time dedicated to just me, where I get to get in tune with both myself and other worlds. Goodreads has been a blessing for turning me on to books I might never have noticed, and I'm just joining a couple of groups here now, wanting to expand my horizons a bit and talk with other folks who are passionate about books as well. I look forward to getting to know you all a little better through literature.

Patricia Post (goodreadscomhawley) | 2 comments Of all the book club groups I saw on Goodreads, this one appealed to me the most. I live near Toronto, Ontario, and I'm a freelance writer (journalist.) I like the sound of Beautiful Ruins, and when I finish my current reading of Don't Tell The Newfoundlanders, I will definitely pick it up. Just finished reading Kit's Law by Donna Morrissey, a Newfoundland author, hence my reading about that wonderful province's troubled history.
