Could you define what you mean by prime age? Is that like what we would consider people in their 20s or 50s or somewhere in between?
Prime age is the peak of physical life/age. Does that help? (Approximately 32.)
Are certain magical abilities specific to each region, or can they be mixed?

Many intruders sailing on their waters have been lured to their deaths by their seductive songs. These people are rarely seen, and when they are, it is usually just before they drag someone to their death at the bottom of the sea. They do not like intruders; they would much rather be left alone." Are you referring only to "The more gifted" or did you switch back to meaning the people of Maré for "they"?

Some people do, some people don't. I tried to be as nondescript about the abilities (besides what they involve) as I could, so that people could get creative.

They do not have sharp teeth and I really appreciate the questions! They are not merpeople, they are humans with gills.

Can people of Maré walk on dry land?
Yes. Their capital is above ground. (Not all Marians have gills.)
Can Marians use magic to become merpeople?
No, there is no such thing as merpeople.
How fast do they swim? Like could they out-swim a shark or dolphin?
Would a Knight be considered nobility or servant?
Knight >> Nobilitiy.They can swim quite fast. Keep up with a dolphin, at least.
How do Marian people dress if they live under water? I imagine they can't wear many flowy things because it impairs their swimming speed. Clothes made of kelp or cloth?
A cloth-like material that is.... words. It allows the water to flow through it, but it is not see-through, and the water just rolls off of it when it is out of the water.
