Goodreads Listopia

Lists show which ever edition(s) have been voted onto it. New editions do not replace old ones on lists.
Edit: and this is not something librarians have any control over.

Too personal?"
That is actually a consideration list for a YA committee:
http://www.txla.org/groups/tayshas

It's actually a Caddo Indian word.
From the link above:
'TAYSHAS' takes its name from the Caddo Indian word meaning "friends or allies." Written texas, texios, tejas, teyas or tayshas, the word was applied to the Caddos by the Spanish in eastern Texas, who regarded them as friends and allies against the Apaches.

Looking at the tag, it's possible it's a sort of personal favorites, but I don't know
225: Looks like it's exactly what it says: a list of everything one wants to read. A bit odd, but not really a problem.

Also, is there info anywhere on what's acceptable or not in Listopia? I didn't find anything in the manual about it, other than the publisher imprints bit. Thanks!

That's because it's not primarily a librarian concern: all users can add and vote on Listopias. The guidelines are therefore on the page you see when adding a new one: https://www.goodreads.com/list/new

Posts with links to individual users will be edited or deleted. Such content should instead be sent to support via the Contact Us link on the Help page. Particularly if you believe a user is violating the Terms of Service, which librarians cannot do anything about.
What may be posted in this group/thread is a link to a specific Listopia and a list of books (or just one, if that is the case) that do not meet that list's original guidelines.

With the exception of the 2009 (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...) and 2011 (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...) lists, which are also static, all the other New York Times annual lists are votable, and there don't seem to have been many problems in keeping them clean.
Unless there is a good reason for treating the new list differently, can it (and the other 2) be unmarked so people can vote for their favourite books out of the 100? Thanks

I see. That's odd, and a little inconsistent, but doesn't apply to the 2009 and 2011 lists, both of which were created by users.
In general, if asked to do so, supers will set as static any list that should not have other books added to it. That's what static lists are for.

The below three look like a class reading list? Wasn't sure if that's too personal or not...

This list: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
has several books with the wrong cover showing. I'm not sure how to correct that?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
But the book is not going to be published until the year 2105, so is it really eligible for a listopia?

This is my main listing with the new book cover. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I'd like this version to show the lists that it is on.
This is all the lists associated with the old cover.

The problem is that everyone is going to the new listing and they don't see the "lists" that the book is already on.
