Jon (jonmoss) | 529 comments I read this a few weeks ago. My review can be found here:

I tried to avoid spoilers in the review so it's a bit vague.

S.A. (suerule) It's distinguishing feature (I think) is that it's an adult book, not a Young Adult book. Despite the fantasy setting, it's dealing with real politics and real human traits and flaws. At least that was my intention - that's the kind of book I like.

Some people have found it very difficult to get into - perhaps because it's really telling the story of what is going on inside the heads of the main characters; the actual events are almost incidental.

Or is this my perception as a writer?

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments I just finished yesterday. I didn't really find it that hard to get into, but I enjoy complex settings. The hardest thing for me while reading was that the downloaded PDF file that mobipocket changed over to kindle compatible format turned out a little rough.

Can I ask where you got the pdf copy from?

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments SA, it was the Adobe file from Authorsonline....I think that is PDF, anyway. The only other e-book option they had was microsoft reader, and I don't have that on my laptop. I didn't know of I could get the file onto my Kindle, so I wanted to be able to read it fairly comfortably - not at my computer desk.

S.A. (suerule) OK, thanks. I don't think I've got around to finishing loading it onto Kindle. I probably should.
