Voting is a right that we have been given, and I think that everyone SHOULD vote, but required? Maybe not. If you're not going to make an educated vote and are just going to vote to fulfill requirements, I'd rather you not vote than vote in a bad leader.

Agreed. Forced voting would result in skewed results...only people who willingly want to vote for a candidate should.

Jake | 92 comments I agree. More emphasis should be put on voting and the political process, but obligatory voting is a bit much. Especially because people are just going to go to vote and pick whoever has a prettier name, because they don't care and are required to vote.

Evan (sampsom) | 578 comments I think people who vote, should know what they are voting for, they should go to the rallies and listen to what the politicians say and they should watch the debates. Otherwise they are just wasting a vote that could go to helping a community and a country. If they don't know what they are voting for they shouldn't.
