I would watch you, and that's not true. Simon and Lewis from the Yogscast are not good looking, but they're famous. You should just go with it and be funny. You'll get subscribers.

I don't know, I haven't been up very long.
I know, and I'm seriously considering dying my hair this shade:

That's auburn, I realize, but I can't risk something going wrong if I dyed my hair bright red (a NATURAL red color) because of Speech and Debate.

Do you get hair colour rules? At events similar to that in England I've seen people with bright blue hair and someone with green (Although I think that colour was accidental) they allow it.
Not WRITTEN rules...more of an unspoken thing. If you show up looking non-professional in any way, shape, or form you're less likely to place. I suppose that technically, they ALLOW it, but it doesn't go over well. Same with short skirts, low-cut tops, etc.
Thanks! :) I think I'll wait until the end of summer...so the chlorine from the pool doesn't do something funny to my hair.
A: Oh, man, what WOULDN'T I do? I'd definitely, first and foremost, add some new Speech events to my list. I'd audition for musicals and try out for sports teams. I'd do LOTS of things! :)

A: What's your least favorite thing to do?

What is your favorite food?
Q: Favorite thing to do?A: I'm an aspiring young adult horror author. Nothing is more exciting than writing at night when it's storming outside, and my story is going so well that I manage to scare myself. :)
Q: Least favorite thing?
A: Waking up at 4:00 AM to go to work.
Q: How did I get into GR?
A: I wanted to find horror book recommendations.
Q: Favorite food?
A: Stuffed crust pizza.
Sorry, just responding to a few questions I found while perusing the thread. It seemed like a more interesting way of coming on board than the traditional Introduce Yourself method. I'm a former high school mock trial competitor and former NPDA debater. My only disappointment is that there is not an adult forum to slug it out, that I’m aware of.
Looking forward to getting to know you guys.
Q: What is your passion in life?
Sorry, when I said an adult debate group, I meant an organization like NPDA or IPDA. I don’t mind debating younger people at all, but it seems once you leave college, you’re no longer eligible for debate tournaments. I’m excited to have found this group, no matter the age. What counts is a good argument.Ditto the adrenaline activities. If I were in one of Veronica Roth’s factions, I’d probably end up in the Dauntless, but I’m also a Leo so no surprise there.
Q: What is the thing you like most about yourself?
A: Questions like that appeal to my arrogant nature. :) Kidding kidding. I don’t know. I’m the quietest person in the room but like that when I speak I can “usually” have something worth listening to. People are either listening because they’re trying hard to hear what I’m saying, or maybe, just maybe, they’re interested in what I have to offer.
To Lia, and anyone still checking into this thread:
Q: What character from what book most resembles the person you would like to be?
For me, it would be Roland from The Dark Tower series.
Others?

H99 wrote: "A question for anyone who still bothers to look at this topic:If you had to go on a journey in space for, say, one year, and you could only take three books with you, which books would they be?"
Shoot, I'm going to come across as wanting to dominate this thread, but for me, they would have to be really long books. They would be It by Stephen King, Swan Song by Robert McCammon, and Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.
Lia wrote: "If you know that in twenty-four hours, you are going to be stranded on a tropical island filled with drug-addicted pirates out to kidnap and ransom you and your friends, what are the three things you will want to bring? "A: A rifle with ammo (not sure if that is two). A machete. and Insect Repellant.
Q: What would you save if you could only save one from a burning building would you save your favourite book or your favourite photo?
Q: What would you save if you could only save one from a burning building would you save your favourite book or your favourite photo? A. Favorite photo because I can get that book again somewhere somehow but that photo, the memories it captured, I won't ever get back again. And for me memories are everything.
Q. If one day you get up and realize you have no recollection of past what would you do ? Try to find answers that may lead you to your past or live your present with a new life.

Q: what other hobbies are people geeky about? (Besides reading and debating)
