I think we're getting more and more depressed because of society.
My aunt and uncle tell me when they were growing up, you knew all your neighbours and you could trust pretty much everyone and I haven't even TALKED to my neighbours once x3

And then there's society saying you're not good enough, people disrespecting eachother, killing, backstabbing. We just treat eachother badly these days.

@Paro, yes! I completely understand! My father said that when he was little the father's would leave and ALL the girls would meet up and gossip, like on Edward Scissorhands. You could walk outside at midnight without worrying about getting kidnapped, and everyone was so happy. One of the few reasons why I wish I was from the 70-80 generation.
