Is anyone else upset that they made a movie for this?

I'm not upset THAT they made the Percy Jackson movie, it's HOW they made it. I'm going to see it on the big screen with duct tape over my mouth.

Why are people complaining when the movie hasnt even been released yet?... Is it so hard to just relax and SEE if this movie is going to be better or worse than the first.... especially considering that Most people complaining are STILL going to see the movie anyway?..... Sheesh.
I am not upset, it doesn't bother me about the movie. The only problem I had with the first one was that it just went by fast, nothing really happened. It was like find the pearls, get the pearls, save the mom, and done. I can't wait till Sea Of Monsters. This one seems like it has more going on and more action involved.

Sheesh. "-Heleshia AGREED. The First movie was okay for me. Wasn't WILD for it, but it was enjoyable.
I read the books only after watching the movie first. It was okay and I'll watch the next movie. there's an array of books waiting to get adapted to screen whether or not i like and i must get used to it. so no point complaining. :(
Here is what I think, Yeah, the lightning theif wasn't very good, but the sea of monsters has a new director and new everything, As for percy's haircut, it is from Perks of being a wall flower (actually not a bad book/movie). I'm happy about annabeth because personally, Alexandra Daddario wasn a fab annabeth other than the hair. I agree with The Book Gazer and Heleshia as well! Don't freak if you haven't seen it yet. I'm confident this movie WILL be better.
I saw the first movie before reading the books. It was enjoyable but definitely not like the book at all. I hate it when they add things to movies that were not in the books! I can see the need to take out things because the movie would be too long but why add things?! I will see the new movie just because I'm interested in how they did it. Although the way they made Clarisse a petite, pretty girl irks me because she is NOT that way in the book. Just stick to the story Hollywood!!
Yeah that's true they could have found a girl brute enough to be clarisse instead of a skinny pretty girl, I am positive there are some actresses out there who could fit the profile better. But either way I can't wait to see the movie lol.
im not upset, im happy `cause obviously the movie will not be as good as the book so im excited about the movie even if its not like the book.

It makes me sad, the first movie, because I wanted to see Luke throw a scorpion on Percy, and Logan Lerman would have been awesome--not to mention his face would be priceless!--but I didn't see much of the book in the first movie. Hopefully, the second will be better, same thing with HGCF.NOW IF ONLY THEY DID THIS A YEAR AFTER THE FIRST MOVIE!

I saw the movie before I read the books and actually thought it was pretty good and I kind of understand why they didn't make the actors 12 or 13 because they also wanted the older kids to see it. But I think they should have cast Alexandra Daddario as Clarisse and cast a different BLONDE actor as Annabeth.
Well, seeing as the did a TERRIBLE job on the first one,(it shouldn't even be called by the same name as the book), I am very VERY DISAPPOINTED!
It honestly was confusing because the way they did the story in the first movie they kind of closed it so the series couldn't continue. So it'll be interesting to see what they do with this. Might be a little more accurate to the book, maybe they'll just make the first and second movie two unconnected stories.
I think they should've waited a couple years and used the money to hire new actors and actresses- younger ones- so that they could make another movie, be able to get more movies in (hence, more money made) because of the ages, instead of continuing on with this movie series.don't get me wrong, I love Logan Lerman and all of the characters, but they got the first movie so wrong, and they've changed so much in the second movie (or from what we have seen) that it's just going to be really confusing.

In the end, Percy throws a water trident that SHOULD have killed Luke, when in reality--or at least the book--Luke runs away and nearly kills Percy. Kind of annoying, don't you think?
Hopefully in Catching Fire and Sea of Monsters they do it right. But hey, give 'em credit, it takes a lot to write a script based on the book, I've tried!(And failed...thanks, guys... :( JK!)
Lol, so, while they screwed up Cirque Du Freak, Hunger Games, AND Percy Jackson, at least their trying. Besides, if they're smart, and wanna make a few extra million, they should have noticed the mistakes in the first movies. Now, who's up for some Cirque Du Freak?
Yes! They have no right to make a sequel to that abomination they dare name the lightning thief! They didn't even have Kronos in the first one!!! So ticked off at these people. and Clarisse shouldn't be so pretty, but i can deal with that. Its everything else that is unforgivable. =_="

1) C'MON PEOPLE! THESE ARE TWELVE YEAR OLDS, ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PORTRAYED BY TWELVE YEAR OLDS, AND SHOULD NOT BE TWENTY-SOMETHING YEAR OLD ACTORS.
2)Besides an actor who is twelve, there should be actors who can, you know, act. Just saying...
I could complain for hours. I will see the new movie eventually, mostly just to laugh. Or cry.
And afterwards, I will live my life pretending those movies don't exsist, and re-reading (again) the wonderful masterpieces written by Riordan.
