Andrew didn't even acknowledge her. He started stroking Calla's hair instead.

Calla looked down. "Oh we're not friends? That's right, you and I are more aren't we?" She said to Andrew with a smirk, ruffling his hair. Calla winced and buried herself more in him. "Trying to hide the fat Calla? It's okay, we get it. You have a donut addiction." She said to her. Calla felt a tear drip down.
Andrew hugged Calla tighter, reaching over and shoving Ruby away. "Go rip wings off flies or drink the blood of your exes."
((Calla could have been gaining weight because she's pregnant.. it's already out there))
Calla cried silently. Ruby saw her and laughed. "Just like high school. Say one thing and you're a pile of waterworks. I should've known. You're no different, your still a freak, and you always will be. And once he realizes it he'll leave you and come crawling back to me." She said with a cackle. Calla sobbed more.
"It's more because you're a cruel, heartless bitch," Andrew snapped at Ruby. He could be pretty scary when he was angry, even when he was sick. Ruby knew that rather well.
Ruby saw his face and backed away. "I work here now. And that's no way to treat your nurse." She said to him.
((she could already be pregnant and be starting to gain a bit of baby weight))
"Too bad, there's plenty of others and you're just one slip away from being fired," Andrew said.
Ruby stuck her nose up and walked away.Calla was sobbing in his chest.
Andrew calmed down as soon as Ruby left. He started rubbing her back. "Baby, it's okay," he whispered.
She heaved tears and shook her head. "It's not. She's right. I'm a wimp, a freak and I have gained weight." She said sadly.
"Baby, she isn't right," he said. "You're a strong, beautiful woman."
She blushed softly. "Thank you. But I really have gained. My stomach is a bit chubbier." She said, looking down.
"What if you're pregnant?" he asked.
She looked at him with wide eyes. "I never thought of that..." She said, a bit nervous now.
He smiled a little. "If you are, that means you're stuck with me."
She smiled more. "That's true. But I wouldn't mind. I'll have to talk to a doctor though." She said to him.
"I'll be with you the whole time," he said.
She nodded and hugged him. "I'm a little scared already." She said.
He hugged her back. "Don't be."
"But what if there is a child? Are we ready?" She asked him nervously.
"Of course we are," he said. "I promise. If not, we will be."
He hugged her back.
"I love you too," he murmured.
He pulled the blanket over them. "Sleep, baby."
He rubbed her back.
Ruby walked through and smiled. "Is she tired of you already?" She quipped.
"Get lost," he said. "Don't you have a longer list of lives to ruin?"
She thought about it. "Hmm... Nope!" She trilled.
"Then find someone else!" he said, getting angry again.
She pouted. "I don't want to." She said to him.
"Everyone does things they don't want to do," he said. "Want proof? I went out with you."
She rolled her eyes. "Want more proof? You're going out with her." She snapped.
He started glaring daggers at her. "How do you know it's something I don't want to do? Because honestly, I do."
"Why? She's a nothing. A freak. Don't you remember high school at all?" She asked him.
"High school is high school," he said. "I've moved on. Clearly you haven't."
"We shouldn't be moving on. Everyone thought we were the best couple. Why can't we be that again? It makes sense. The prettiest girl with the hottest guy. Why are you wasting yourself on her? She's worthless." She said.
"You're the worthless one," he snapped. "You cheated on me throughout our entire relationship, and you don't know any past between Calla and I. I don't care about what makes sense, you'll still be sleeping around and I'll only be there for appearances."
"That's because there couldn't have been a past!!! She's been A FREAK and A NOBODY her entire life. Why can't you realize that!" She yelled. Calla heard in her sleep and started having nightmares of him calling her that.
He rubbed Calla's back, making sure to go over the spot that made her relax. "Not fitting in with your friends is a lot better than being a fame-seeking whore, Ruby. I wouldn't expect you to know that."
She relaxed instantly."She didn't just fit in with her friends because she had none. She didn't fit in with anyone! And she definitely doesn't fit with you." She said to him.
