He smiled and they pulled up in front of the palace.She kissed him a bit longer then pulled away.
She sighed. "Come on, I want to show you my favourite spots."He caressed her cheek.
"Okay." He said, and got up.She blushed and looked up at him.
She got her stuff and her bag, leading him in through a servant's entrance. He smiled. "I planned a surprise."
He got his stuff and followed her."What?" She asked eagerly.

"Wow." He breathed.She giggled and sighed. "Fine." She said.
She smiled. "I like sleeping with the windows and outside doors open during the late spring and summer nights."He started fishtail braiding her hair.
"I can imagine." He said to her.She giggled. "You know how to do that?" She asked him.
She sat on the bed, pulling him with her."My mother taught me to keep me out of trouble," he said. "It worked rather well."
He smiled and say next to her.She giggled. "Well you still got in trouble at school. I'm not sure I should let you near my hair." She said with a smile.
She kissed his cheek. "I got a lot of this stuff from the town we visited."He laughed. "You can't tell the short piece is even there."
"That's amazing." He said.She smiled. "When I put it up in a ponytail you can." She told him, but she didn't care.
She smiled. "Want me to show you the library?""But if you braid it like I did, you can't tell," he said.
He grinned. "Sure." He said.She smiled. "That's true." She said to him.
She led him down the back way to the library. "Nobody reads in the library, they don't even know about the secret passages."He kissed the back of her neck.
"Why?" He asked her.She blushed and shivered slightly.
She shrugged. "Don't know. I might just be badly affected by the nightmares though."He kept braiding her hair.
"Oh." He said softly.She giggled and smiled.
She pressed on a switch that made a panel swing open.After a while he tied it off with one of the four leather cords around his wrist.
"Whoa." He said.She smiled and touched it. "Thank you." She said to him.
She grinned. "I made that."He smiled softly. "Anything for you."
"That's awesome." He said to her.She giggled and hugged him tightly.
She led him inside the library, running her fingers over the spines of the books. He hugged her back.
"This is amazing." He said to her."You're amazing." She whispered to him.
"You're welcome here any time," she said. "Why am I amazing?" he asked, blushing.
"Thank you." He said, and started to look around."For every good reason." She said to him.
She climbed up onto an empty shelf. He kissed her cheek. "You're more amazing than I am."
"What are you doing?" He asked her."No I'm not, you are." She said to him.
"Sitting," she said. "Sit on the empty one beside me.""I'm serious, you are amazing," he said.
He smiled and sat next to her.She smiled. "If I am then you are." She said.
She reached over and took his hand. He kissed her softly.
He smiled and squeezed her hand.She smiled and kissed him back.
She smiled at him. He pulled away and stood up, carrying her outside.
He leaned over and kissed her cheek.She giggled and wrapped her arms around him.
She sighed happily. "What should we do tomorrow?"He carried her to the guest house.
"Whatever you want." He said.She smiled. "What are we doing?" She asked him.
"Meet at the river?" She suggested. "If I'm not there by noon, come check the castle."He shrugged. "You pick."
He nodded. "Sure." He said to her.She smiled. "Umm... Can we try the horses?" She asked him.
The next day, she wasn't at the river by noon.He nodded, leading her to the barn.
He waited for ten minutes then started to go to the castle.
One of the gardeners recognized him. "She's in the infirmary. Want me to show you where?" He put the saddle on his horse, than one of the calmer ones for her.
His eyes widened. "Of course, what happened?" He asked.She watched him set it up.
"I don't know," the gardener said, putting his hedge shears down before leading him to the infirmary. He got her a riding jacket.
He followed quickly after him, worried.She smiled and took it. "This looks good." She said, and posed.
He showed her the back room where she was in before going back to his chores. She wasn't wearing any clothes, but they had draped a sheet over he loosely. He smiled. "I'll ask my sister to make you one."
He walked over. "Are you okay?" He asked, trying to look away from her body.She smiled. "Okay." She said to him.
She coughed into a tissue to catch the blood. "It hurts," she whispered hoarsely. He kissed her forehead.
He kissed her back again.
