Her enthusiasm is just so infectious it just makes me laugh and clap my hands along with her.

Many good comments.
Some comments:
I wonder about that last kid not identified. Did she show her pic to Sinclair or Mavis? I didn't think they'd had a pic of the last one at that point
Whoever asked about kids? I wonder if Nora would get her knocked up with twin... they run in families... LOL! Poor Eve! Also, she'd probably have to plan the kid. I'm pretty sure Eve has some implant for contraceptive purposes.
Also, I have this thing with new characters... it takes me a while when they're first introduced. I'm afraid that Nora will have them turn on Eve... I spend the whole first novel a new character is in holding my breath.

Sbyrd: I totally agree - it seemed weird how Eve treated that guy rudely ... She was living this kind of life (young runaway, etc...), her husband is/was a criminal , etc... So what right does she have to judge someone who was a criminal, but was helping girls along the way?!

Wow, Mavis's backstory! I never thought about it before, but it was the perfect fit to help fill in the story of the missing girls. That Mavis's mother made her wear dull colored turtlenecks and chopped her hair repeatedly explains a lot about who Mavis is now. And I love that after she got away she chose her own name. I also love that Bella's enunciation of Summerset comes out as "some sh*t". Bah ha ha ha!
It's interesting to see Eve struggle with the grey areas surrounding these girls. Sebastian tried to care for them in his way, but didn't call the authorities and get them in "the system." What would have happened, what could have happened, what if....especially since these girls were quite wild? It's clear to us readers, though, that Sebastian wasn't the worst thing that could have happened to these girls.
It's always fun to see Eve figure out the "marriage rules." For most people it's all instinctual or intuitive, but Eve is stuck on the idea that there's a playbook that has to be followed. Most of these rules seem to be guided by the idea that Roarke may be upset if she did/didn't do/not do something. I like her observations about the Miras and how she realizes that that's how she'd like her and Roarke to be decades into their marriage.
sexy .. sweaty .. and gorgeous!!! I'll buy an advance copy just to read this part again and again!!!"
Should've used that in the cover art!
